Even moreso when I hear Jung's description. As for the offer...I dunno. It sounds...suspicious. I fear that if we take too many favors from Jung, we will lose...something major.

The guy does seem a bit slimy, yeah. Also, possibly immoral to potentially sell life-destroying magic tokens to villains. We are trying to be a good person.

Turgh and Farthdul will be his teachers. Have a three way meeting and both instructors will help Koro become a warrior. Oh and be sure to tell Turgh that we want to see the matches Koro competes in. Sell the coins we got for 150 silver and use that as training money to farthdul.

That's a good offer. Explain it to Koro and let him decide. If Koro can learn to enjoy fame and glory and crowd applause, becoming rich and famous and loved by fans would be a good life for him, and tournament wrestlers probably don't die young as often as adventurers do. It's also, as others have mentioned, a useful skill that's compatible with his strengths regardless of which life path he chooses. It also gets him away from the mage guild and brothel problems we've been struggling with.

Mixed feelings on this. It's probably a good idea, and it's an opportunity to win some fame and notoriety for ourselves in addition to solving the actual problem. If we do this we might want to push to make it known that this is our party, not Travon's, and he's our consultant rather than we're one of his recruiters.

That's just a matter of presentation. Travon is suggesting that we do the recruiting, so we can easily say "Hi, I'm putting together a party to..." rather than "Travon's leading a party and I'm asking on his behalf if..."

But then if we take credit, it has potential to end badly if Travon mangles some of the men we recruit with his inventions.

So...I suggest some discussion on this.

I am mildly amused by how virtually everyone has roughly the same response to that offer. Usually, trying to get us to agree on something is like herding cats, especially if one option is bone-jarringly stupid.

1. We don't know how to do so safely.

I think that we can do this pretty easily. Simplest solution: Request that Travon not use any machines he wouldn't use around Alred.
Maybe being more specific would help?

I am for the wrestling trainer, no use of an armouruser if you have no armour, it is nicer to have a little warrior son who could fend in any kind of situation. Also, if we let him wrestle for his mentors fame he will gain some glory in the process as well.

Now let's get back on the coins. We should definitely wait for the husband to do anything with them, because they might come in handy for him.

Also Jung, this guy is unnerving to say the least, decline his offer and do not visit him for a while. While I feel this guy can be a great help at times, and he is partially trustworthy for he seems to be in love with you, it is unwise to spend so much time with him as people might think that we have an affair with him. Word could get around and us in trouble.

Also, we should start making a buck or two.
Here are some plans.
Long time goals: Getting uncle out of prison, rebuilding the old families brothel business, destroying the usurper whose name I forgotten, who took the brothel from your family.
Mid-Term Goal: Dabble in medium trade, selling goods to the south and north.
Short-Term Goal: Find a product to manufacture and trade.

Well our family had been disturbed by this menace of a man. He took control of the entire city and runs it at his whim. So I say, we are the woman of a true hero, raising a hero. Therefore, we must be heroic as well. The true hero would save the city from corruption, and also prostitutes deserve dignity, we could let them work under good conditions.

Also if you think about it, our son has no respect for us. Why? Because he believes in fascist mythological bullcrap from an octopus who raped and kidnapped you as a child. Therefore it is obligated to rise to fame and power to be a good role model. So I am saying to finally reach the goal of being in power we must play the game. Gain money and influence, building our own infrastructure which is key. During the time of our rise we will be able to outfit an exceptional adventuring crew, making every campaign of your husband more likely to succeed and also lots more prestigious. Then, once power is reached we are able to openly fight against the ursurper (sorry i have forgotten his name, if anybody could supply it). Now, while I see why there is no interest in the uncle, I say, from the point of her character she SHOULD be interested to free her uncle, as he is the only connection to the past and an ally as he is the same bloodline.

I think that severing ties from much of our old family would be best. Most of them are nothing but common criminals, and the rest are far away. Do we really want to tarnish Alred's reputation, as will happen when they discover his wife is running a brothel? Do we want to damage Koro's by the old "Apple Doesn't Fall Far From the Tree" principle?

I don't think that running a brothel is the kind of power we want Koro to try to aspire to, nor do I understand where the prestige comes in.

Fighting the usurper is fine, but that is because he is a criminal. As for the uncle...well, he's a criminal too. He is a connection to our past...a past with a family of criminals. He is in the same bloodline...and his presence will remind people about that bloodline of criminals running through our veins.

I don't see them being criminals. Really all they did was run a brothel. This is not lawbreaking, the only lawbreaking that happened was when the kids of your uncle tried to free him, but they were executed. They are not evil people, they just organized the sex services of town, which can exist on a criminal but also on a noncriminal level. I can see that you do not want to run a brothel, which is fine by me, but we should still help to bring justice to the family, because it is the right thing to do.

Prostitution is a crime. Even if brothel-running doesn't fall under the same statute, they would still be guilty of conspiracy to prostitute or something. Besides, the perception is the thing; brothel owners arent exactly more respected than criminals. Maybe less, depending on the respecter. Anyways, that's only what we know; I wouldn't be surprised if "extra" family members without brothel jobs were common criminals, or if criminal activities were used to support or supplement the brothels.

Bringing justice to our family would mean leaving our uncle in jail (he is a criminal, even if he was tossed in jail by rivals) and maybe deposing the current brothel-owners. Nothing more. Hard to be less.
