caged goblins
« on: March 03, 2008, 07:23:00 pm »

I recently cought three goblin ambushers in some cage traps. i set them to be moved into another cage, but they have since then disappeared. I saw one guy moving one of them...but the goblin hasnt been placed in the cage, and i cant find it anywhere. Is it likely that it escaped? it was in a wooden cage. Should it be metal? and/or, in the process of transporting the goblin, it would be carried through many stone fall traps. Would this then kill it? Help!

I'm pretty sure you can't move goblins from cage to cage easily. What probably happened is a dwarf let them out to take them to another cage, and the goblins made a mad dash to get out of there. Have you tried searching the unit lists for the wayward goblins?

In any case, you shouldn't worry too much. If you rely enough on cage traps, you'll soon have more goblins and assorted other creatures than you'll be able to creatively 'dispose' of.
