Use one of the less random death mods scriver. At some point they included in the game a mechanic that autokills when downed regardless of the injury. A broken finger can kill you in modern vanilla rimworld

They probably added this to ensure the colony didn't grow too fast and having enough colonists remains a challenge. A broken finger will only kill you if the person actually gets downed due to having a broken finger, which realistically is very unlikely to happen.

Yeah when you set it to 0% autokill you'll find yourself with lots and lots of prisoners and field executions.

Er... they’re bags or organs for fixing your colonists.

When you end up having more organs than medicine on top of having fifteen prisoners and then down a 30+ raid you end it's just not worth it to keep harvesting.

Even if you're running two sacrafices a good sized raid can still swamp you

Tribals should totally get a Blood Sacrifice action though. A good bloodletting always raises morale!

You just keep sacrificing to your deity of choice, over and over. Mutate all your colonists! Crash all liners in hyperspace onto your planet! Go nuts!

Anyone know why my citizens are choosing to eat milk over meals? I have plenty of meals but they grab milk instead and then get sick from it.

1. Milk is closer

2. Meals are forbidden

3. Meals are outside their allowed zone

4. Running a mod that changes their food priority

5. Meals are in a prisoner area (often because of Prison Labor mod)

Blue Dwarf has been happy lately. He did some !!science!! recently. He admired a fine forum post lately. He was enraged by a forum troll recently. He was upset by the delayed release of the new version of Dwarf Fortress lately. He took joy in planning a noble's death recently.

The only one that makes sense is that the milk was closer, but this doesn't seem to be the case for raw meat. Hopefully it's fixed in the final version.

Is it possible that the meals are being used by someone else?

Already accounted for that. I simply have too many meals that even if every colonist wanted 3 of them I would still have enough.
