New update! And of course it's the first day of the new semester.

I'm looking forward to additional resources being added in. Everything being made of metal is pretty silly.
I agree. Working on the content management substructure to make this possible.

In other news, hey DF-people. Just thought I'd pop back in and mention that Alpha 1 is out. The new hotness is in my blog page.

The new ai tutor is actually a really awesome innovation.   He never tells me stuff I already know and when time critical events occur for the first time he is right there to help me out. I played the last version quite a bit but kinda forgot the details of how to play.

I am supper super excited for mood mod support as well.

Edit: oh auto correct.

I realize it's a typo but how amusing it would be if the adaptive tutor could read your mood as well. "Crap, he's had a bad day. Look some extra metal and the next attack only has two raiders who have already surrendered!"

Yeah, I figured this update was mostly engine stuff to make all the rest of the additions easier. Certainly looks like an important release from that standpoint!

I'm hoping I'll get a chance to play tomorrow.

Or it could be the other way around, with the AI having moods that change depending on whether or not they like the player.

Currently playing on chilly. This game has some interesting challenges.

Currently I hadn't past after the three colonists phase. Had three prisoner at one point but one of the starting trio went mad and killed the others.

I think it's because I insist on digging room which is quite slow.

Do you build rooms or burrow underground to avoid mental issues?

Concrete walls degrade constantly, leaving your colonists doing nothing but welding the walls together constantly if you even dare to build anything resembling a complex. Very disappointed that's even still included.

Well, why shouldn't they. It's probably going to be adjusted later, but there's no reason to remove features if they're not really breaking the game.

After the first things available on the research screen, is that pretty much it for the moment?
