Kester's hand met his face audibly.

"Oh that's just great. I swear, Shay, if you end up proving Sacha right I will wring your neck with my own hands. Because then we will never hear the end of it. And that will be your fault.

Before she could reply, he was already out of the door, rushing after the Captain, muttering curses.

Kayle, now fully awake, follows.

Concerned, Aqi rushes to follow.

The guard led the team out to the village walls. The normally lively streets were almost deserted and all the windows had been shuttered close. Once they reached the walls the guard quickly shuffled everyone up the stairs until they had reached the top of them. It was quite a long climb considering the wall had been built to help hold out Gaiakin, and they had to run to keep up the pace.

When the team exited the passage they could see the elderly mayor of Kern was standing at the wall, staring out with concern. When he saw them he gestured out to the outside.

Waiting beyond the walls was a platoon of Argoths bearing the black and red colors of the Vediran Empire.

Chance, who kept back from the group as they assessed the young woman's condition, noticed all of them as they moved out and with the guard. Interested, he tailed them quietly.

And as they reached the peak of the walls, any sense of calm drained from his face.
: "I'm... sensing a lot of activity out there." He muttered. His face seemed to strain, the metal on his eyes glowing ever so faintly.

A gulp was heard
:"This is very, very bad."

[Furtuka]

At that moment one of the Argoths stepped forward. It straightened itself and with a hiss the cockpit opened up, allowing the pilot to take a step onto the ledge formed by the hatch and look up at the people atop the wall. He gave a quick wave at them and began speaking.

"Greetings from the empire sirs and ma'ams! You may call me Sir Mefte. It looks like a fine village you have here. I believe there is something you have inside that we desire. A certain Argoth you may have picked up recently? At least that's what the fellow my men encountered earlier today said."

[Nerjin]

"Your spy you mean? Take her!"

Kester groaned.

"Gaiadamnit Sacha, just shut up for once and stop being such a paranoid untrusting bitch, huh? At least in front of company."

He sighed, and spoke quietly to a guard before repsonding to the man, pushing in front of Sacha.

"May we ask why you desire this Argoth, Sir Mefte? I am Kester Utheris, and we have need of every Argoth found, to keep the Gaiakin at bay."

Kayle sighs before grabbing Sacha and pulling her close to whisper
:"That the damn Vediran Empire. You don't give a inch to those guys or they will walk all over you."

[Furtuka]

"May we ask why you desire this Argoth, Sir Mefte? I am Kester Utheris, and we have need of every Argoth found, to keep the Gaiakin at bay."

"The pilot of that Argoth. She took something of ours. An object that holds quite a bit of value to us. All we want is to have it back, and we'll be on our way."

[Nerjin]

"You could at least acknowledge me..." Sacha mumbled to herself before she spoke up "Yeah? Too bad! It's ours now and we'll destroy it as soon as these knuckle-draggers give us the chance! You can keep your spy though."

[Parsely]

Cora glared at the Imperial.

: Perhaps if you told us what you want it for we might be more open to reason!

[Nerjin]

"What does anyone want an Argoth for?"
