[Nerjin]

Sacha arrived a little later than most of the others. Almost reverently she approached Archdeacon Frollo.

"Are you ready my friend? We're going to make a difference. A gaiakin... An abomonation greater than any Argoth. Are you ready?"

Deepening her voice Sacha muttered to herself.

"Of course little one. Do not let your eagerness get the better of you."

Grinning she brought her voice back to its proper tenor.

"Always looking after me. If only they were all like you. If only they actually cared for humanity."

Shaking her head she stroked Archdeacon Frollo's large leg once before she began her climb towards the cockpit.

"Too bad really. Well let's go then. We have abominations to destroy."

[Furtuka]

The workers, having noticed the pilots climbing into their Argoths, just barely managed to get the gate open in time before Carsinque bounded its way out of the bay. The rest of the team soon followed behind and caught up to him.

Before long the village had receded into the distance, and the group was on its way southwest down the road towards the area the captain had pointed out.

[Parsely]

Cora toggles a rune and establishes a link to the lead Argoth.

: Kester, what do Carsinque's eyes see?

[Furtuka]

Far up ahead there could be seen a ditch with broken trees running through the forest. Clearly the Gaiakin had been here.

[Nerjin]

"I'm no tracker. Can any of you make anything of this?"

[Rolepgeek]

Kester stares at the rune-screens for a second, shaking his head. He flips on the communications relay as he scoops a handful of berries into his mouth. Carsinque functioned as his own little personal food supply, and the plants grew surprisingly fast, so it wasn't difficult.
:"Uh...we're deph'nitely headed in the right direcshin."

[Parsely]

Cora couldn't help laughing. She toggles her comm rune again.

: I hear you. I'll keep an eye out as well.

[scapheap]

:"Good to know."
Kayle gripped her head for a moment before Chronos stopped and lifted it leg over a muddy patch.

[Furtuka]

Following the trench, the group eventual came to a large clearing, with many hills and rough terrain on the other side of it. Within the center of the clearing, they could make out an odd jagged looking hill, and many large black stones.

[Nerjin]

"What the hell is this bullshit? Where is the monstrosity?"

Sacha looked around for several moment before a thought occured to here.


"Is... Is it the hill? Can they get that big?"

Sacha hid it well but the prospect of fighting something larger than Frollo frightened her. She had heard the legends of the Gaiakin's power. They didn't fill her with confidence.

[scapheap]

:"It could be the clearing. I mean what it the max size of a Gaiakin? Beside, it could just be one of the black stones."

[Powder Miner]

:"I, er, I am totally unsure how it could be the clearing..."

[scapheap]

:"Not the one we are hunting, but a huge one could of fallen asleep in a valley or something and over time, dirt and things could of filled the gap between the valley and the gaiakin. Then when trees grew, they can't grow in the gaiakin as well so a clearing form."

[Powder Miner]

:"...And there's triply my dose of paranoia for the day, nnh..."

[Rolepgeek]

:"Somehow, I doubt that. It probably just cleared this area when it got tired or something. It's probably the hill. Pretty small one, for once, at least. I remember one where it was actually a small mountain. Took forever to kill."

Everyone, in all likelihood, turned to stare. This was rather difficult to believe after all.

:"It's true! It took like, three weeks of digging just to reach it's organs."
