"Yes yes Frollo, I'll be civil. But don't think this means I trust the klutz."

After a few seconds she followed the rest of the group and tried, and failed, to discreetly place a slip of paper into Aqi's pocket. The paper fluttered to the ground. Blushing briefly she ducked down to pick it up before shoving it into Aqi's hand and dropping to the back of the group.

How's our new 'friend'? Any news?

[Furtuka]

When the pilots entered the room, the girl was still on the bed, and was slowly propping herself up against the frame while her other hand pressed against her forehead. She didn't seem to notice them just quite yet, and was still dazed from waking up.


"Errgg... where am I?"

[Nerjin]

"Kern, as if you didn't already know." Sacha said while scowling at the girl.

[Rolepgeek]

Kester pats his ear lightly, pressing around the bottom.
: "I must have something wrong with my hearing, cuz' that sure didn't sound 'civil' to me..."

[Nerjin]

Grumbling briefly Sacha said

"I apologize, I've been under a lot of stress lately due to various factors. You're in Kern, the town me and my... colleagues are currently operating out of. That's Kester, he's... Kester."

[Powder Miner]

:"I'm Aqi, and, uh, we found you shot down..."

[Furtuka]

"Kern, as if you didn't already know." Sacha said while scowling at the girl.

"Kern? ...Kern is by-"

:"I'm Aqi, and, uh, we found you shot down..."

"WHAT!? Where's my Argoth?! Tell me right now! You didn't leave it behind right?!"

The girl practically tried to lunge out of the bed, but stop midway and winced in pain.

[Nerjin]

"Calm down sparky." Sacha said as casually as she could manage though it was obvious she wanted the girl to lunge again "Your abo... Argoth is here. We dragged it all the way over here. Because we knew you'd be just delightful. So, why don't you tell us what you were doing in this territory."

[Parsely]

: That would be my idea! The dragging, I mean!

Cora raises her hand and waves from behind the wall of burly men (and woman) between her and the nice blonde lady.

[Powder Miner]

Aqi watches her lunge out of bed.
:"Whoa! Whoa. Don't hurt yourself."

[Rolepgeek]

The rather less than burly Kester snorts. "Didn't realize you were so loyal to our newly-founded band of Mercs, Sacha. Nice to see you care."

He was also rather carefully avoiding looking at Cora, focusing on the woman in front of them. Kids...

[Furtuka]

Hearing that her Argoth was brought with her made the girl release the tension in her body. She slumped a little and sighed in relief before continuing.

"That's good. Thank you for helping me. But I have to bring my Argoth to my home right away.

"It's at Castle Herdra correct?"

"Yes! My name is Shayla. I'm training there under my uncle Ven and Lord Michawl. Please I have to get there right away."

"Calm yourself, I already sent a messenger to the castle two nights ago. We should be hearing back any moment now."

"No you don't understand! If they follow me here then the town will..."

[Nerjin]

"Oh no, you're not going anywhere." Sacha said with a scowl "At least not without us. Just to make sure you get there... safely."

[Parsely]

Cora ignores Sacha's remark pointedly to put Shayla at ease.

: Won't your uncle want to know you're alive at least? I'm sure they'll understand-

[Furtuka]

"No no I would! That's not what I mean. I was running from-"


There was a loud smash as the door was slammed open by one of the town guards.

"Captain Flint, I think you'll want to take a look at this!"

Flint looked back at the girl before turning to the door.

"We'll finish this later. The rest of you come with me."

He walked out the door at a fast pace, following the concerned guard.

"Oh no..."
