Chance smiled gently with a nod towards where Cora's voice sounded from, but suddenly turned directly at Sacha.
: "As a mercenary, it should be, lest I cannot afford spare bread. I shall not be a hindrance." Chance forcefully declared in his rolling accent.

Cora turns away quickly and wonders how something so horrible could have happened.

A rare smile graced the woman's face.

"Excellent. If what you say is true you and I will get along just fine."

: "Oh, lookie there! Someone who actually gets along with her. Sorta."

Kester smirked, a common enough expression on the hot shot's face, and leaned back against a pillar.

: "If you can keep her from trying to kill anyone we happen across, you'll be an even better addition to our team."

Aqi sighed, and walked over quietly to Kester.
:"Hey, uh, Kester... I already talked to Sacha about this, but I kinda think it's not a very good idea that you and Cora fight with Sacha, I mean, if you three start fighting on the battlefield or even not, it'd bad for all of us. So... the enemy thing... that probably needs to stop."

: "Yeah, yeah, I know...it just pisses me off that she calls the Monger an 'abomination', and she always acts like she's better than us. Didn't see her taking the pounding out there."

He grimaced and settled back against the pillar, shifting uncomfortably.

: "I mean, what do you expect me to do? Agree with her?"

[Powder Miner]

:"I kinda expect you not to pick fights... Besides, I'm sure she has redeeming qualities."

[Parsely]

: *snort*

Kester sighed and looked away almost shamefully, grimacing, before resuming his previous expression of cocky indifference. He sighed once more, though this time it seemed to be forced, and meant to seem like one of exasperation.
: "Sure, whatever you say, mother...if she does have something to redeem herself, I just hope it shows up soon..."

Standing up swiftly Sacha looked towards Aqi.

"I think I dropped my... money outside. Aqi, come help me find it when you get the chance." Sacha gestured towards the door very briefly before walking out of the tavern for a few moments.

[Parsely]

Cora checks to make sure the door is shut completely.

: Quick, help me move this table.

: "And trap Aqi outside with her? I'm not that cruel, sorry."

[Parsely]

: He hasn't even left yet.

Aqi merely sighed at Cora and Kester.
:"Yeah, alright, Sacha..."
He walked out to follow Sacha.
