: Whatever you need to do, do it quick and let's move. The thing that took that strange woman's Argoth out might be coming after us too if we don't get out of here soon.

Cora examines the crashed Argoth to see if it can be lifted. It would certainly be worthwhile to recover this if its not too heavy. A pilot is no good without her machine. Perhaps between two of us we could heft it, Cora thought.

@Cora

Based on the size of the Argoth, Faller Core is unlikely to be able to lift it on its own. It might possible if multiple Argoths worked together to drag it though.

As Carsinque neared, Kester slowed the Argoth down, and the damaged machine came to a stop with it's head a few meters away from the wreckage of the other Argoth. Climbing out and jumping onto the larger machine, the hot shot pilot ran a hand through his hair, tightening the strap that kept it out of his eyes, as he made his way to the hatch, where the injured woman lay.

When he arrived, he blew air through his teeth and started a medical examination of her, confirming that while she had taken some superficial wounds, it didn't seem that she was in too much danger.

"Alright, if you can take her, Kayle, while Faller Core, Frollo, and maybe Shawsusque take the Argoth, I think we can get out of here fairly quick."

:"Understood."
She pick up the woman in a bridal carry and walk carefully back to Chonos.

*Sigh* "Alright I guess... I only hope we don't get caught by whatever got this sack of unconscious." Sacha began to move Frollo into position to help drag the argoth.

Help move the Argoth

Kester smiled appreciatively at Kayle, briefly, the gesture barely reaching his eyes, before returning to Carsinque and wrestling with the controls to get the Argoth up and moving again. The pilot disliked this jerky, half-blind control of the mech, but at least they weren't in combat...

: Right. Let's move.

With three of us, including me, carrying the fallen Argoth and Kayle ((I think that's scapheap's character?)) bounding ahead of us we head back to camp. ((If that's okay with everyone.))

After getting into position, the three Argoths gingerly picked up the wreckage, taking care not to cause any extra damage to it or drag its wings against the ground too much. The crashed mech was awkwardly carried with them on their way home while the still unconcious girl rode with Kayle in Chronos.

Slowly they made their way back to Kern, tracing their way back through the trail of destruction they had used to find the Gaiakin in the first place and within a few hours the village's towering stone walls were in sight.

@Cora

Cora had Faller Core wave at the wall, signalling to a guard that they were there. He nearly jumped in surprise at seeing them on the horizon, and ran to the tower to presumably find the Captain. For a while the Argoths were left in silent to continue in approaching the town, the road shaking with every step they took. Eventually bursts of noise came out of the communicators and the Captains voice filtered through into their cockpits.

"It's good to see that you all came back safe. I trust that the mission went well? What's this about you carrying an extra Argoth with you?"

"We destroyed the abomination with little trouble. This little freeloader was shot down by someone seems to be the consensus. So we brought her and this... thing back with us. If worse comes to worse it'd be at least five to one so it shouldn't be too big an issue if she's a plant. Oh, she also apparently has severe damage to her body. So take that for what you will. Now will you let us in?"

: What she said.

: ...

Cora looks towards her viewport, then leans forward, staring down at the crippled machine carried between them. She mutters to herself, the comm still open.

: A flying Argoth..
