(not this past week, but) I chose my current fort's (ClobberedHalls) civ (The Strategic Door) based off their deity names: Ginok Chantedlake the Chocolate Wheat (festivals, music, the rain... so, a modern music festival god, I guess? mm... chocolate wheatyness... worshipped by The Strategic Door's 1st king), Zoluth Lancercrushes (revenge), Tamol Wilfullarge (strength), and last but definitely not least,

Zimesh (=Phantom) Urnskull the Fated Burial, deity of suicide and death. And worshipped by the 2nd and 3rd kings of the civ (don't know about 4th yet). How dwarfy.

Just after a fire possibly started by a herd of warlock spies, I got to migrants named Dreadghost and Gloomstar. Awesome names. And really fitting for all the Fun going on right now.

As of late my artifact makers have been churning out clothing. And MUGS. Armok forbid a quarzite mug be named Weaknessbristles the Helms of Flame.

Technically this isn't an artifact but one of my axemasters named his steel battle axe Flushfocused the Muddled Bowel. I assume many goblins have been disemboweled by this axe in its 20 years of use.

But the RNG name that I most adore is a gold war hammer, encrusted with gems, studded with GOLD, encircled with more gems, menacing with spikes of ash and pyrolusite, and engraved with images of Longland grass in orthoclase. Its beautiful name is The Connected Rays, a gold war hammer. Armok bless the dwarf who made it.
