Techno and Ukrainian Ranger are both in gonna roll up your crews shortly.

On the matter of Italian and Japanese Tanks. While Japanese tanks were about as thin plated as italian ones and had about the same punch, they were faster and did actually work under combat conditions in contrary to Italian Tanks who constantly had some failure or another...thus Japanese Tank > Italian Tank.

Heh, 1 really crappy crew and 2 really good crews.

Also, Chessano had 9 tanks, not 8.

Very well now that we have seven players and while Greene and Chessano are setting themselves up, I'll do some explanations on how the battles work, aswell as some preliminary work for the First Battle.

I will announce the Two Combatants and give a picture of your battlefield. Then both teams are given opportunity to formulate their initial Tactics via pm. I will follow these tactics to the point in your movements and between turns you can send me pms to modify your strategy as it becomes necessary. On top of that i will roll for your fellow Teammates how well they will follow these orders in extreme situations. Meaning teammates may choose to hunt enemies which they are not supposed to hunt and other things if you roll bad.

Cool. Also, yay hex map!

How do the crew stats work in the T-35? Is it just the higher of the 2 scores used in rolls or what?
(And as fore-warning, I suck at coming up with names so probably not gonna have a full roster of names)

Sorry, meant to ask. Combat. I've not seen how it works, I figured that it was gonna be writ once combat started (actually hoped I wasn't first XD)

So uhm... I'll ask how far the tanks can move compared to their stats (how decimal points changes how far they move aswell with a hex system), how manoeuvring works and I can't see how far each tank shoots. I can see how far they can travel, but not how far their guns shoot.
On that note, what does each hex represent in KM's.


Sorry if these are covered somewhere and whatnot, I haven't seen 'em. Cheers.

4 speed means that a tank can move four hexes.
A Tank with higher manouverability will obviously have an easier time driving around a tank and hitting it.

Combat Mechanics are D6 based but will be rolled in the background so i dont have to write down dozens of rolls. Basically the Combat-Mechanical side will be dealt with by me in the background. Just go from your stats and and lay down a strategy.

My, that map's looking quite good.  I'm a little curious about the hex scale as well; it'd be somewhat embarrassing to order everyone to take up positions on some defensive terrain to cover a choke point only to later discover that the place where we've set up is too far from the choke point to actually have any chance of hitting anything.  Do short-medium-long gun ranges on the penetration stat correspond to 1-2-3 hexes away, or are ranges longer than that?  Also, do we usually have to worry about fuel range, or can we assume most battles are on a scale that we won't have to worry about running dry?  Oh, also also, can rivers typically be forded by our tanks given patience and time (or with specialized amphibious kit like pontoons or screens), or should we just assume that river tiles can't be forded without a specific ford or bridge tile?  I apologize for all of the questions, if it is a little pushy.

The map is just there for show. To visualize what the hell is going on since mere descriptions leave much to be desired.

Ranges are measured in: Close , 500m, 1000m and Indirect.

Fuel Ranges are only getting of importance if a Match drags on.

Rivers can be forded indeed.

Generally i will give a pretty good description of your position, your enemies position and your general surroundings. The map is just there so you have some Visualization. In other words the Hexes dont mean anything.

FAKEEDIT: I also want to retract my earlier statemen of 4 speed meaning four hexes. I just realized that is not really working out due to teh small size of most maps.
