Lowering siege requirements?
« on: September 09, 2013, 05:40:59 am »

Hello.

Is there any way, to decrease the amount of required population to reach sieges?

Having 80 population can somewhat impact on the amouth of FPS that one can have, and I'd be just fine with having a pop cap at around 50.

Thanks :)

I know titan and FB attacks can be set in advanced world gen, don't know if/how for sieges, but my guess is that it's possible

Jam a door with its corpse and let all the goblins in. Hey, nobody said it had to be a weapon against your enemies.

well, entity_default.txt does have PROGRESS_TRIGGER_ settings as e.g. 1 for kobolds and merchants, 3 for sieges. Can't seem to find the value limiters (except for LANDHOLDER_TRIGGER_ for dwarves, which defines the points when you get baron/count/duke, but all those only require 20 dwarves), but I guess setting PROGRESS_TRIGGER_POP_SIEGE:3 to 2 or 1 would probably lower the pop requirement (1 being no lower limit on amount of dwarves?). Will almost certainly require a new world to take effect, as per usual with entity_default.
