Given that creatures with a kill list get names, and even weapons used to kill enough creatures get names. I say that minecarts ought to have that same privilege. After all, the suckers have maimed and killed quite a few creatures. Sometimes even non-dwarves.....

Expand it to all tools.

Named carving knifes in Adventure Mode!

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

Expand it to everything, so you can have named beds that were used as miscellaneous weapons, named pebbles used for throwing things to death, named heads of named individuals that were used as clubs... the possibilities are endless. You might end up with some in fortress mode too after a few tantrums.

It'd be fun in Legends mode if nothing else.

In 83, the +iron mining cart+ Razordances the Softness of Oceans became an enemy of the Reign of Boils.

Personally I just want to be able to put stamps on the side of the minecarts.  Legs, arms, heads, cats, you name it.  I want to see its kill and injuries list.  :)

I manage to avoid most minecart injuries these days but still, when I first started?  Hooo-eey.  My dwarves prefered to fight sieges than work the mines.

Well, let's think about this for a second. Minecarts are now tools of war, right?

I'm sure bombers and fighters tallied their kills on at least SOME of their planes, aye?

Does the minecart get credit when it launches a glob of water that does the killing?

Saying 'X is a tool of war' in this game is redundant.

As for kill tallies, I like to imagine the cart operators painting a little kitty skull-and-bones on the side of their slab-sided juggernaut whenever it runs down one of the fortress cats.

At what point did the suggestion of child sacrifice become the more ethical option?

my one armed champion has an artifact candy gauntlet. I'd love to have a kill list on it for all the creatures she has punched to death with it.

At least her moose bone shield has a kill count.

Sure, why not, I always wanted to play Minecart Destruction Derby featuring captured seige goblins,  and heck, maybe we could make thing like Hell Rollercoasters so Minecarts can be guarenteed a glorious send of down the tracks and into the 50 firedemons so there will be billions fo engravings of Urist Mcdrunk riding a minecart into a bunch of demons with a suicide booze cargo and exploding

No, the glob does.

Then when the glob gets named it becomes sentient, and the resulting legendary water elemental goes on a rampage.

... If only.

the problem  in df is that everything can be weaponized so just having named minecarts would be unfear, but maybe some day they will implement this and we could have named fluffy wamblers  :P
