Death Truckers: Suggestion Game

Welcome to the Barren Future!
With zombies, tanks, gun-toting hillbillies and more!

It is the year 1975 AAD (After Anno Domini) and the world has been warped into a barren rock from solar flares and meteor strikes drawn to the Earth by mega-corporations working on a secret weapon back in the 1800's. This weapon, combined with the constant threat of falling rocks and solar flares, caused widespread death and destruction. The world's head scientists and doctors frantically created a special treatment where they could prolong human life. They had to prematurely release a prototype, but it resulted in the creation of the Necros. Necrotic Evil Corpses Resembling Old Selves. They required the bodies of living humans to maintain their health, and they had the ability to perform a twisted version of the treatment that created them. This created the zombies.

Now, these aren't your moaning zombies that shuffle along; they can wield weaponry, speak, reason, and learn. They work under the Necros and require the brains of human bodies to grow stronger and smarter, but are mostly mooks for the Necro that birthed them. They spread their disease to those that they bite, and become weaker versions of the originating zombie. These new zombies retain the traits and some of the memories and skills of the original zombie. The zombie horde attacked New Earth en masse, causing even more loss to the world's population.

To combat this new threat, the Government created a new caste of "undead", using a refined version of the original treatment. They are the Vamps. Vampiric Artificial Monstrous Personnel. They only require the feeding of blood, and are more or less one-man armies. Though, even armies could not stop the Horde, so the Vamps created their own bands after the downfall of the Government. These ranged from direct fighting groups to charities and farmers. In the New World, travel and transportation of goods is increasingly violent and dangerous, so your band is to carry people and cargo from one settlement to the next.

You are a fledgling, recently turned by the powerful Vamp of the sector, and instructed to learn the ways of protecting the caravans and destroying the undead.

Age: [14-17; this is the age where Vamps may transfer their vampirism to people. A safeguard created to ensure that another outbreak would commence, but that they would be able to replenish their ranks after the Government's downfall.]

Band Name: [Something about trucks or any kind of transport; or anything, really. Up to you]
Band Logo: [Describe the logo, or use an example from Google or something]

Characteristics:

-Combat [You have more martial prowess, and your master's old skills and memories have passed unto you. +1 to weapons, tactics, and general fighting. Blood Lord form.]

-Guile [You have a strange genetic ability to change your outward appearance to that of a person that you have drunk blood or interact with continuously. You may also read the minds of people, albeit only weak-willed and emotionally broken victims. Shadow Lord form.]

-Terror [Your unnaturally potent psychic abilities allow you to break the minds of the enemy, instill fear, and motivate your men. In your Dread Lord form, you may raise the dead as temporary zombies to help you fight, for a limited time. Dread Lord form.]

Vincent the Vampire!

You are Vincent Black, sly protege of Hannibal Valentine, leader of The Convoy. You've been recently turned a few months ago, and you were kept in his chamber until you were used enough to your new vampiric senses. Any memory before your turning is groggy and jumbled. Today is your first day on a Convoy Mission, and you've been assigned to protect Convoy 3 from the zombies. Your goal is to deliver the food rations to the Outpost nearby, and protect the drivers and the van from zombies.

Mission 1: Food for Thought

You get on the van and take a seat, struggling to put the strange, modified seat-belt on. The crew laughs at you, and you hang your head low and continue fiddling with the belt. A woman with ruffled red hair shakes her head and waves the others to stop. She heads towards you and shows you how to put it on. You blush more as the others giggle and nudge each other. After she gets back on her seat, the van starts and the driver calls back and warns you all to get ready.

The woman looks at you and smiles, and you look away blushing again. "Hey, what's your name?"

"Um, Vince. I'm Vince."

The others stop laughing and they turn to face you in a shocked expression. One man with spiky blonde hair drops his pistol, and he picks it up as he faces you again.

"You're the Vamp that Valentine's been hiding? He sent you to us?"

"Um, I guess so."

"Oh, damn man. We're sorry."

You wave it off, and just smile and nod. Things are pretty quiet for a while until the van jolts upwards and it stops and swerves. The driver gets out of his chair and coughs, waving away the smoke. He tells everyone to get out. You unbuckle and help them unload the cargo, and you wait in the hot bleak desert. The black sand blows away from you, and the mechanic tells you all to gather around.

"Aight, so we had some problems, and we ran over a big zombie. It clogged up some of the exhaust pipes and now we're stuck for the time being. It'll take me around three hours to get it working again, but at least we stopped at an abandoned town. I'll need some new parts, so I need some of you to find the parts in a few of the buildings."

You look around as the others shuffle about and make a makeshift wall. The lady from before approaches you and drags you apart from the group.

"Hey, I found something in one of the buildings. Something big. I don't think any of these guys could take care of the zombies around it, but you could. You're a Vamp right?"

"Yeah. Oh, um thank you for earlier. What's your name?"

The woman giggles, "The name's Talia. Now c'mon. I need your help."

She takes you to a decrepit old apartment building, and you can clearly hear the sounds of zombies arguing and fighting.

"You can sneak in right? Like Lord Vincent? Alright, so what I need you to do is to either go upstairs and find out what's causing all these zombies to stay here, or me and you clear the way and bring the others here."

Be stealthy

You nod and you close your eyes, concentrating on the technique Master had taught you. You feel your body change, shift, you feel lightweight. You struggle to keep yourself on the ground, and soon you turn to a smoky mist. You pass through the door, and you crawl on the ground. You sneakily slide through the ground, the zombies complaining to each other about how bored they were while you slip beneath their feet. You accidentally knock a pot over as you materialize a part of your leg, but you stop it from smashing by grabbing it and softly materializing your hands.

You feel relief, and you continue to go upstairs. You hear more zombies upstairs, and a particular force that compels you to go forward. You slide through the door at the end of the staircase, gracefully bypassing the zombie guards. You slide into a room, where you see a faint, green light, next to it are three bulky zombies and a man in robes. He wears a skull on his head, and you can tell by his more precise movements that he isn't a zombie. It's a Necro!

They continue to argue, while the Necro remains standing calmly, quietly observing the thing on the table, from which you determine to be an orb of sorts. The arguing escalates, up until the point of screaming till the Necro yells at the zombies. He warns them to get out, and the zombies begrudgingly follow. They close the door and you attempt to follow them back downstairs and report to Talia, but you suddenly stop and feel yourself materialize fully to Vamp form.

"Tch, tch, tch. It's impolite to eavesdrop. A naughty little bat like you has an excellent sense of hearing don't you? I, being the safe man I am, will assume that you heard everything, yes? Well, that's no good! We'll just have to drown it out with your screams!"

You are suddenly dragged towards him, and you feel a stinging pain as green electricity flows through your body. You slowly break free, and start to morph back into shadow form. The Necro struggles to contain you, and as you break free he flies backwards and smashes into the wall behind him. He is dazed, and he struggles to get up. You pull out your special Vamp Freakflayer and fire at the Necro. Two lines burrow deep into his chest, and a painful shock courses through his body. A red laser points to his head, and you fire at him. He gets up and dodges!

The Necro lurches towards the orb, and grabs it in his hands. You quickly morph into shadow form and dart towards him, materializing around him. You lock him in a chokehold, and the orb glows even brighter. You both grunt and yell, and a bright green flash envelops the room. You can't feel your body anymore, and you pass out.

When you awake, you see the house around you smoldering and broken. You appear as though you've fallen from the second floor, and you see the crew around you. You look down at your stomach, and your eyes widen as you see yourself impaled by three glowing green stakes. You panic, but the others calm you down. They attempt to pull it out, but the stakes slowly move there way into you, eventually disappearing into your body.
