I'm currently berry farming. You need some of each berry to get an Everstone, which in this game allows you to keep the sprite of the Pokemon holding it during breeding. I plan to breed my early-gen sprites and give them away :)

Are early-gen sprites rare or something? I noticed I only saw one original gen Gastly the entire time I was in Pokemon Tower

I don't recall the numbers off-hand, but yeah. Not as rare as shinies, but retro sprites get progressively rarer the more generations you go back, with Platinum being the most common "retro" and Green version being the rarest. Oh, and you can find shiny retros as well. FYI.

They're not fake really, the site likes to edit and recolor existing sprites for special events. You should see the massive collection of candy-themed Togepi I have :P

Recolors are interesting I tell you what. I saw someone with a Star-Crossed Gardevoir ♂ once. I forget who. And there's this person on the VDex Forums who collects Pikachus and she has Pikachu recolor that wears a Red's hat.

Collecting Pikachus is real good taste in my opinion, but then again Pikachu will always be one of my favorites. If I may while I'm lucid seriously state what my favorites from Pokémon Blue are it would hands-down be Blastoise and Pikachu. I used to even collect anything Pikachu when I was younger though this was mostly restricted to miniatures and plushies. Those were some good times I tell you what.

So not only do we have to collect them all, we also have to collect all the variations.

GRIND HARDER

I live by the philosophy that you don't have the do anything under most circumstances unless if you want to. You don't have to breathe, drink, eat or sleep even as you could just hold your breath, starve yourself and deprive yourself of sleep, albeit not breathing, drinking, eating or sleeping will kill you. I apply the same philosophy to games I play - I only do what I want to do in the game. What I want to do at this time is in VDex and Pokémon in general raise the team I have set up to level 100 and catch a handful of other Pokémon to stuff in my PC for when I want to maybe raise others.

What I want to do when they release the sixth generation sprites is have a party that is made up of my favorites from Pokémon Blue, Pokémon Sapphire, Pokémon White and if I have it by then Pokémon X. My setup in theory would look something like this…

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

If there aren't any new Pokémon I like in particular I'll more than likely just slot in either a Lopunny, a Delkatty or a Volcarona, depending on which one I have first. I don't care about collecting them all anymore because unless if my brother decides he wants to do that with me I have no one to collect them all with. I just want the ones that I like and that's about it.

My apologies for the double post this evening. I just thought I'd let you all know I've been feeding your Pokémon the past twenty-four hours in an attempt to help them evolve sooner. I won't be able to do it again for a while because I've spent most of my credits in that game to feed your Pokémon a combined total of fifty times, but I thought I'd let you guys know in case if you were wondering why perhaps some of the levels might be uneven.

All right Malkavian for the cause!

I had a Vdex account aaaages ago, something like three years. I'd love to join again, but I'm not sure what happened to my old account. My e-mail is registered, but my usual name tags don't work, and there's no "forgot your username" option.

Is there a contact page somewhere that I'm missing?

No, I just checked and there isn't an option regarding a forgotten username. A lot of websites don't have that kind of feature implemented because of security reasons - some password cracker or script kiddie gets your username and then they can brute force the password and steal your information. You might as well make a new account and then email the admin regarding your circumstances. It might be your best option.

Also I don't know how it happened but I now have a 5 Poké Dollar discount on Fresh Water after having bought fifty-five of them. They now cost me 185 instead of 190. That's kind of surprising to me as I'm not certain why that is the case.

I believe that might be the result of your partner. Each partner gives different effects, and the one you start with gives increasingly-larger discounts in the stores as you spend time together.

I like discounts, ergo Yun is a keeper. Thanks for that bit of information Sirus.

I use Bel. 25% increase in cost is a small price in exchange for as much extra money as I'm getting.
