So are attacking types stacked for what you can and cannot attack, resistances etc.? Like, would Cloyster do normal damage or super effective to grass types? Would Venusaur be super effective or normally effective against bug types? Would Golem be able to hurt Pidgeot?
Attack types are stacked, yes. The attack roll simulates a number of attacks that the attacking pokémon can make, encompassing all their attacking types. Cloyster would do normal damage against grass type, and Venusaur would do normal damage against bug types. Golem wouldn't be able to harm Pidgey as any x0 reduces the type modifier to 0 ([any number] x0 x1 is 0).

I've decided as a psuedo-turn sequence to only do one round of processing a day or when all active players have submitted an action (except when I'm too busy to post).

If it simulates a number of attacks, then theoretically only half should be non-hitting, and thus overall have a normal effectiveness. Similarly, if, say, Cloyster attacked a dragon or grass type, since half of them are half effectiveness and half at double, it should really be around 1.25 modifier. Unless it's just justification. Because really, rock types are very helpful in killing flying types, and thus, having ground type too means you kinda suck, since suddenly all flying types that you would normally rock against(pun intended) are plain immune to you.

EDIT: I mean, it's fine, it's your game, it's a simple solution, it makes sense, etc., it's just that it means Butterfree or Scyther are 8x effective against Exeggutor, Venusaur, or Vileplume, Omastar and Kabutops are 8x effective against Moltres or Charizard, and worst of all, Golbat is 16x effective(even though it's still effectively the same as 8x) against Parasect.

"Ew."

Go, Tentacool! Use Bubblebeam to clean up this menace to life, limb, and hygiene!
Psychic Marvin's Tentacool aims to clean...

[ROLLED 5 (x2!) =10!) It's super effective!

The Mumar is thoroughly doused and its sludge sloughs off in messy swathes. (+1 happiness to all!)

Congratulations! Psychic Marvin caught a Mumar!
Spoiler: Mumar (click to show/hide)

"Squirtrina! Defend!"

Defend(1/4 defence)
Team Rocket Clair's Squirtina digs in against the charging Bellmite...

[ROLLED 1 (x.5 x.5 +1 attacking first) = 1]

And the Bellmite charges straight into Team Rocket Clair's open pokéball. That was easy. Almost too easy... (+1 happiness to all!)

Congratulations! Team Rocket Clair caught a Bellmite!
Spoiler: Bellmite (click to show/hide)

Water Gun.
Capture.

Altus Wasser directs his Squirtbasaur against the snouty Droweon...

[ROLLED 5 (x2) = 10!] It's super effective!

The soaked pokéfusion shrugs in defeat and meekly allows itself to be caught.

Congratulations! Altus Wasser caught a Droweon!
Spoiler: Droweon (click to show/hide)

Attempt to capture the Slowran, attacking with Koffchop!
Karate Biker Joe sends out his Koffchop against the distracting Slowran!

[ROLLED 2 (x0.5) = 1!] It's not very effective!

The Slowran happily inahles Koffchop's poisonous fumes, and follows up with a brutal psychic jam. The biker and his pokéfriend walk back the pokécentre dejected. (-2 happiness!)

Gather thoughts, what am I doing again.
Your aim is to bank the most pokémon. The strange activity of the mysterious Mr Lax is puzzling. Also, on reflection, you note that no one has bumped into any escaped pokéfusions for several days now... While you stand in Mr Lax's house pondering, your suddenly disturbed by the knocking of a stampeding VOLTROS!

Bank the 4 I defused, then go find more to capture.
Camper Liam banks Rapidash, Tentacool, Magikarp and Pikachu!

The intrepid Camper Liam heads out into the wilds once more and its not long before he and his pokéfusions come face to face with a wild MAFREE!

Nine begins the attack with a claw!
Kyra Pyre's Ninenine slashes at the wild Krabto...

[ROLLED 2 (x1) = 2!]

Krabto mimics Ninenine and turns into a crabfaced firedog! It scarpers, leaving Ninenine dazed and confused (-1 happiness).

Two steps forward and four back...

Consider re-fusing available pokemon, before hunting down something weak to poison. Maybe a Grass type?

Return to base. Split and bank Mumar.

Return to find more Pokemon, ideally of a fighting-type nature!

Ugh, why am I so clumsy.
"Mm, sorry again Nine..That's the second time today I've-..erm, yeah."

Kyra sat down on one of the logs nearby, after checking it for any pokemon. None. She was alone with nothing but Nine.

"I-I just..I just thought that being on the island would give me a chance to-"*flumph*
"Mmph-Nine, your paw! Not on my fac- oh. Huh, yeah, I should probably stop being disappointed, huh."

Looking at her pokemon, which was sitting right next to her and eyeing her closely, she stood up and took a deep breath of fresh air.

"Alright. Today, I will be magnificent. And to start that, we march towards the setting sun. West!"

Head West. Probably encounter something important. Bond with Nine.

Find Weepinchop

Team Rocket Clair heads out in search of Weepinchop. She knows its movements and looks for the tell-tale signs: acid-pocked fight manuals and plant food with added electrolytes...

[ROLLED 5 (-1 secret location) = 4!)

She tracks the pokéfusion down to the entrance to an abandoned mine on the side of the mountain. He's sitting there, alert, waiting to WEEPINCHOP her!

Two steps forward and four back...

Consider re-fusing available pokemon, before hunting down something weak to poison. Maybe a Grass type?
Karate Biker Joe stands and considers things for a moment before heading out for the grass lands (rolled 1)... but all the grassy fields have been scorched! Out of the ashes, rises a wild VILETRES!

Return to base. Split and bank Mumar.

Return to find more Pokemon, ideally of a fighting-type nature!
Psychic Marvin banked Mumar: no more points can be gained for banking a Muk or a Magmar!

Psychic Marvin heads out, looking for a dojo (rolled 4)... and eventually he comes across a ruined gym. Amidst the skeletons of boxers and brawlers, overcome by some now distant tragedy, a lonely PRIMEWHIRL beats on a decrepit punching bag.

Ugh, why am I so clumsy.
Head West. Probably encounter something important. Bond with Nine.
Kyra Pyre looks to cheering up her downhearted Ninenine. She remembers in it youthful Vulithe days it loved to chase butterflies, so she heads west towards a flower meadow (rolled 5!). Here amidst the flowers buzzes a wild ELECTRADRILL!

Go back to town
Defuse Droweon
Defuse Squirtbasaur
Bank Drowsee
Go to area with type advantage in the wilds

Altus Wasser spends an afternoon defusing his pokéfusions, banking a Drowzee to stay in the competition.

No more points can be gained for banking a Drowzee.

Altus Wasser then heads off into the wilds looking for 'type advantage' (rolled 1!), and in a misty forest he comes up against the one pokéfusion he couldn't have prepared for... a wild PIDNAIR!

Elsewhere, Aroma Hiker Theolet heads home, after an unsuccessful pokéhunt...
