Rewolucja! A Game of Revolution and Uprisings TURN 7
« on: September 04, 2013, 08:56:06 am »

The year is 1831. A century ago the Grand Duchy of Witkovia was conquered by the Confederacy of Rostov. The Cazars have carried out a focused effort on wiping out Witkovian culture and language, to maintain their iron grip on these conquered lands. Yet the Witkovian people will not give into Rostovian tyranny so easily, and have eagerly been awaiting the recreation of a free Witkovia. In March war was declared between Rostov and Adiyaman, with many troops being sent to the front in an attempt to reinforce the flagging Rostov offensive. With Witkovia almost empty of Rostovian troops, the people have become more energetic and patriotic. In the hotels and salons of Avallon and Dunkeld a great uprising is being plotted and planned out. Rostov is weakened and the people eager to overthrow the yoke of oppression. One word is on the lips of all Witkovian sons, from the highest of the aristocracy to the lowest of the peasants. Rewolucja! Revolution!

Let me know if you have any questions about the rules or any other part of the game. They seemed a lot simpler in my head, and I'm certain that I didn't fully explain some crucial detail.

Indeed. I'm not a terribly big fan of historical forum games though. Games loosely based on a certain period sits much better with me, since people are more free to be creative and do whatever the hell they want without worrying about accuracy.

You just got bonus points for Polish city names (and immediately lost them due to lack of Polish letters like ó, ł and stuff).
It really matters, you know. If you were to say my surname without those hooks and whatnots you'd end up with something completely different (my surname is a real tongue twister, for Pole or not, though).

Since it's that important to you I'll fix the names later when I have free time (and then shrug apathetically when everyone else drops the Polish letters to save time).

Well, if it makes it easier for everyone and doesn't require you to have a character set on at all times, then don't do it.
Over half the people here probably don't even know how to pronounce those letters, so... (ó is u/oo)

Required:
Organization Name: The Browncoats
Colour: Maroon
Stance: (2, -3)

Personality Name: Pjotr Iwanowitsch Blücher
Trait: Aggressive

History: The Browncoats are a paramilitary Free Corps formed by the Government Adiyaman to enforce a violent Revolution in Witkovia and thus weakening the Rostovian Military and forcing them to fight on two fronts. Lead by the Witkovian Noble in Exile, Count Pjotr Iwanowitsch Blücher, the Browncoats are compromised of Volunteers, Mercenaries, Former Nobles, Adventurers and other Witkovian Exiles. Their Name is derived from the famous brown longcoats the Witkovian officers wore.
