Thinking of deathclaws, Takoko rummaged through her scrap collection and thought about making some armour, quickly buying some breakfast.
If she didn't have enough, she could look in the shops to see what scrap metal they had.

Frag didn't tend to eat. He liked to drink certainly, and good food wasn't something he'd pass up, but Ghouls were basically smarter zombies who happened to glow. They didn't need much. But he hung around for a bit, then goes and tries to get a good luck at the stuff on the wall, without being too conspicuous.

Most of the group sits down to eat a breakfast. Kathryn is lucky enough to get some of the last eggs. Her meal isn't the cheapest, but it's still only 13 Caps and easily worth it after living off of those rations for so long, which are pretty bad - even by wasteland standards.
Maxwell, being a big guy, does have to spend a little more on food to get his fill.


Frag hangs around and tries to get a look at the stuff going on up on the wall.
It looks like most of the defenses that were at the freeway checkpoint have been pushed back to the town itself. There are markedly more guards, and they have a machine gun set up facing the direction between the road and the quarry. Upon closer inspection, it looks like there are two guys with Sniper Rifles and they've also got an old BigBazooka up there too. It's too bad there's probably no way you could get up there and run off with that...

You exchange your caps for 293 Chips, heading over to the nearest Blackjack table. The Maximum bet is 100 Chips, and the payout for a Blackjack is 6:5.

Kat pecked at her food with a rusty spoon and fork, enjoying the taste of the eggs and...whatever sort of meat that was. Maybe rat. At least there was plenty of salt, being so close to the mine and all.

She looked up at the rest, after a spell.

"So, does anyone think Harvey's going to show up? Or maybe he's off getting second helpings..." She muses.

Harvey sits at the table and fixes a confident smiles on his and expanding it to a wide grin as his eyes widen once he's recieved his cards.

They widen with good reason, as that's a Blackjack and you're now 120 Chips (And likely soon to be caps) richer.

Takoko ate with quick, jerky motions, barely tasting what she ate - though maybe that was for the best.
"We should get going. Find our fearless leader and hunt down the convicts. Not go to the quarry."

Harvey places the same bet again before looking at his cards then sits back with a smug smile.

"I'm feeling lucky. How about you all?

Kat nods.

"Last night he was at the casino, right? Let's check there..."

Action: Lead the party procession and drag Harvey from the gambling table to get on with our mission. Buy him breakfast to go, he'll pay me when we see him again.

(Suddenly a pack of giant, angry Deathclaws totally storms into the Casino and kills everyone before you can continue! Oh well!)

Harvey takes his chips and turns them in giving 10 to the dealer and the cashier then runs out the door to the general store.

"Just need to pick up some supplies and I'm good to go."

Buy 5 rations and 5 bottles of water at the normal price then give the owner 50 caps extra.

"For your help friend."

He then runs back to the group giving each of them a bottle of water and enough rations that they each have 2.

Kat hands Harvey a greasy paper bag as he gives her rations and water.

"You got me lunch, I got you breakfast-I suppose we're even then." She looks him up and down. "So, you get lucky last night, Champ?"

"Almost but she had to work. I'll see her tonight instead.

Got lucky at the table though, I'll continue that streak when we get back.

Btw when we're back I suggest the general store. Lots of useful stuff like my new pack and good prices."

She nods.

"Well, let's go and get our job done. Time for that later.

Y'all should know, the guys we're going up against have guns and dynamite, at the very least. I'm sure we'll agreed on shoot to kill. Any idea where they are, Harvey?"
