The afore-mentioned network related complaints have manifested, (albiet in a somewhat different and more reasonable form than what I expected) so I will unfortunately not be continuing to host.  This will be the last game, erryone.  Decided to give as-advanced-as-possible warning about that in case anyone wants to take over once this game concludes.

I guess this could be nice if I wouldn't go bankrupt immediately on joining, thus leaving joining somebody else's company and basically doing nothing as the only option. Yay.

Is there a gameplay module for OTTD that makes passanger routing similar to simutrans? (it's much more fun that way IMO), we could include that in the someday-future-next-server-reboot

I really want that one as a "when". I want "grubs", and "virgin woman" to turn into a dragon. and monkey children to suddenly sprout wings. And I want the Dwarven Mutant Academy to only gain their powers upon reaching puberty. I also have a whole host of odd creatures that only make sense if I divide them into children and adults.

Also, tadpoles.

Hmm... Assuming that hosting isn't based so much on CPU as it is upload/download, I'll host it with my:



download/upload speeds. I think those will suffice.

Note: This isn't being run out of a dedicated server, but rather the one I normally used. Performance issues may occur when I decide to play EU3.

Wait, so will the server be up soon?

Im letting this game finish then I will close it.  (or by tonight for me, which may be a lot sooner actually)

Also the connection speed I am using is 160kb/s down 44 up.

What that other guy has is enourmously, massively, obscenely, better than what I have.

if you mean having passangers wanting to get to certain locations (and cargo too) and doing more than one stop for that, then there is a module for that I remember using when I last did OTTD several years ago
