it is the 3979 one, or just put in the IP without the port and the port gets added automaticly

FAKEDIT: so, both work

I'm tempted to go for this myself.  I get all worked up then nobody follows through with it?

e: Yeah fuck it.  Try connecting to 67.237.107.191, that should work.  Password is toad  e2: Several corrections were made, try again with the new option.

I'm using some GRF layout resembling what the OP suggested.

(ECS town vector, ECS industries addon, ECS Agricultural vector, ECS basic vector II, EVS Chemicals vector, ECS Construction vector (beta 5?, no other option), ECS machinery vector, ECS wood vector, ECS and FIRS original vehicle set)

Sweet, awesomesauce! I was just about to log into the router and poke at things some more right now (and lock the thread if I couldn't get it to work :S), but that works too. Next time I'm making sure somebody can actually connect before I make the thread, sorry about that :S My network or computer has just been giving me all sorts of issues getting this to work with stuff right now that I haven't had a chunk of time to sort out.

Welp.

e: According to their documentation for some bloody reason they use a specific port no matter what.  I'll forward the correct port and correct things, one moment.

e2: done, I'd recommend trying to connect to 67.237.107.191 and 67.237.107.191:3979 to figure out which one works.
I was under the impression that the one specific port was only needed if you wanted to advertise to the central server to have it on the list of Internet servers? I switched up the server_port setting but if that's the case that might be my issue, too.

Anyone know how to make the company password protection work?  I had some issues with that recently.

Briefly lost power.  Battery backups.  All your stuff is safe, just the router lost power somehow despite having a backup battery as well or something.

It looks like it may have been a combo of my crappy upload speed and the increasing complexity of the map.  You took too long to download the map as a result.  I have tripled the max download time, if you try again I think you have a good chance of getting in.

edit: It sticks about a MiB from being done and it still says I took too long.

I decided to get in on that action down in Cunford.
So I present:

The Great Cunford Crossing

Only cost a little over 6 million, but now water access to Cunford from the north.

when the map is reset can we get the train acceleration to the other setting? on original it slows down on hills even if it is at top speed and the hill is one high

I'm pretty sure I dont have it set to original.  I'll make sure.

That being said, this happened.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The game goes on, however things seem to be pretty much under control.  Theres a lot of requested modifications at this point so I think this is the point at which I conclude the game.

A last screenshot (big):

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I can email the save to anyone who wants it.  Beyond that I'll be trying to implement as many suggestions as possible before restarting, including probably creating a new thread.

I think you need to remove the Industry add-on vector.  I think that's the one preventing towns from functioning (eg. tourists, petrol stations, stores, car dealerships).
