((I wonder if we could somehow use the bear against the Kobolds..   If there is no space to walk around the bear.. then this can't be the main entrance to the cave.. as i would imagine the bear would just as likely maul them as us, unless it is trained to somehow ignore every kobold in there.  Perhaps we should look for a secondary entrance and force them to retreat to the bear?))
((Problem: What if the secondary entrance is a kobold-sized wriggle-hole? Or if they bribe it with fish or something, or or or...

I say we either try to diplomacy it in typical useless fashion, or rush it and try not to get ripped limb from limb too much.))

(( You could always try. Being in touch with nature, there's certainly a chance. ))

Stay near Kyle, prepare for combat.  If anyone gets hurt.. heal 'em.

((Well, Don't be too worried. Since it's first combat turn in, a terrible roll will only end in you being hurt instead of being... well mauled. And you have a healer! You'll be fine.))

It would suck to be mauled first turn. Well, it depends on the thing that's attempting to maul you. It would be cute if it was, say, a small kitten.

Play a song of strength.
You strum up a tune on your guitar
[2+1]It works... But not by much. (+1 Strength to Clair)

Intimidate the bear.
Avoid butchering intimidation check with my mere presence.
You two advance together upon the bear. You are Demons! You REFUSE to be bullied by such a minor creature.
[Rolling for bear strength... Natural 20, +2 to strength rolls]
You almost reach the bear before he turns to you, It unleashes a roar...
([8+2+2])vs([3+2])
And you roar right back. It slinks back, intimidated.

Stay near Kyle, prepare for combat.  If anyone gets hurt.. heal 'em.
You stick close to Kyle, watching carefully for party injuries.

Let the others go first then try to sneak behind the bear to stab it's spine.
Enough with this intimidation business. It is time for blood. You begin sneaking, attempting to get behind the bear...
[Rolling Bear Int... 7, -2 to perception rolls]
[(8+1)vs(7-2)] And easily sneak behind it. You sneak up really close and dive your daggers into it's back!
[Rolling Bear End... Natural 20, plus 2 to defence rolls]
[(5+1)vs(4+2)] The daggers pierce it's skin! It roars in agony, and twirls around, throwing you off...
[5+1] But you manage to right yourself, landing on your feet, prepared for a counter attack.
[8] It charges, and it's chain is slack enough so it can reach you!
[(10-2)vs(4+2)] It swings, but misjudges your position, and only manages to smash his paw into your arm! You take no heavy damage, but it might hurt in the morning.

Grab it by the scuff of it's neck and force it to recognize me as it's master.
