A few people here have avatars which change the image every time the page is refreshed, unfortunately, this makes it take longer to load because it has to load a new image each time. Please don't do that.

I'm talking about loading times of pages increasing due to people having avatars which change. Everything time the page is refreshed the new image must be downloaded.

You can disable avatars in your settings.

Okay, but as others have stated this isn't some sort of suggestions board, its the games and roleplay board. You're probably looking for the General Discussion board. And in any case, there's not a lot you can do about the contents of other people's avatars, though I think you can turn them off in your profile settings.

Once an image is loaded in the cache, it'll stay loaded, the problem is that changing ones need to be loaded each time.

Actually, don't they load a single avatar randomly from a redirecting URL? I'm pretty sure that just means the loading time is like opening an uncached forum page.

Also, how slow is your internet? If it can't handle loading those images, your problem is bigger than the selflessness of this forum can help with.

If its really a problem you can add the rotating site to your hosts file and have it redirect to nowhere. Then you can still see everyone else's avatar.
