Farms suck as soon as you can afford a new Grandmother upgrade. Its REALLY annoying, as even Clickers do better. 100 farms, producing 2000 CPS, and I have 8 million CPS.

Exactly, farms are pretty terrible. Most of the buildings become obsolete at higher CPS, though.

I'm now nearing 500 million CPS personally, and saving up for anything is starting to seem impossible. It takes a long time to get a single trillion, and I need 100 for the next upgrades. :( I'm trying to get 100 time machines and 200 cursors, currently at 67 and 180 respectively, is there any easy way to get there that I'm missing?

After a while your income is useless. Only Golden (And Granny) Cookies earn you money within any reasonable timespan.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Exactly

There are TWO bad cookies
1) Halfs your cookie production = Why care? Why care at all?
2) Lowers your total cookies by 5% = You can earn 10% from the beneficial effects.

These are not common.

The "Bad things happen" is mostly just there to scare you... Truthfully you will want to piss off the grannies.

I almost never get the bad ones... and the best one increases your income by 666 for 6 seconds... (so up to 18 seconds). Which is 3.3 hours

28.99% * +1800s = +521.82s
28.99% * (-50% * 66s) = -9.5667s (-19.1334s with upgrade)
5.95% * 6s * 665 = +237.405s (+474.81s with upgrade)
5.95% * ??? = ???

49.00417% * 1800s = +882.07506s
49.00417% * 6 * 77s = +226.3992654s (+452.7985308s with upgrade)

Therefore, golden cookies gain an average of 1108 (1334 with upgrade) seconds of progress with each click, and red cookies gain an average of 575 + x (803 + x with upgrade) seconds.

For the red cookies to be profitable, cookie chain must give an average of at least 8957 (8924 with upgrade) seconds of progress to be more profitable.

(These numbers ignore clicking frenzy, as it varies with click/autoclicker speed, and the recent -80% chance of getting the same result twice change, which may completely alter the results)

(Edit: Forgot to factor 5.95% chance into chain cookie result)

no idea if im just incredible unlucky here, but red cookies dont seem to give normal frenzy anymore, and the chance for bad results seem grately increased.
