i'm just saying that instead of going through the hassle of programming a bot, you might as well bust out the javascript console and give yourself shitton of cookies.

Cookie clicker already had built-in javascript functions to help you cheat.

Well where else would you put an autoclick bot other than on the console? The whole point was making it quick and easy, right?

And giving yourself cookies is a completely different type of cheating. Autoclicking more efficiently is a difference in quantity, not kind.

Really, if anyone wants to use an auto clicker then that's fine, but it's definitely cheating. At least in my opinion. Stuff like Cookie Monsters and other scripts that just tell you information, I'm fine with, but when you're not even clicking the cookie, the essence of the game's just dead. So is its name.

Except that the game was designed for you to cheat... or shall we forget the old achievement you needed to cheat to get?

Heck to earn all the achievements you need to cheat and one of the basic achievements is an exploit.

I am not sure if I am joking since that seems to be an accurate description that the game had intended you to cheat, at least a little.

EDIT: 100 cursors do about the same as 10 manual clicks per second, so I suppose an autoclicker is reasonably helpful.

There are upgrades which give your manual clicks a certain % bonus of your CPS as well, so it becomes even more profitable the more you click as more upgrades unlock.
