Ok thanks a lot although its a disappointment there are still a lot of other fun stuff in masterwork! Also is there anyway you can become a drow or at least have one as a companion. Lastly i noticed that you can get magical staves and cast powerful ranged attacks how do you get these and can you use it with any race? Thanks again!

Staves and Auras only work on the fitting mages, so a fire staff only on fire mages.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I made new manual pages using maklaks perl scripts. They look like the plant guide I included so far, but for all weapons, ranged weapons, ammo, trap components, and CREATURES. All 1300 creatures with some basic info in a table. :)

That sounds like the greatest thing I could imagine for a manual! ;)

I packed the Tileguide into a similar fashion, and packed the Dfhack Quickguide, the Tileguide, the Plants, Weapons, Ranged Weapons, Ammo, Trap Comps and Creatures into one folder.

I am also working in the building and furnace pages, to add a table to every building, but work on this is kinda slow. Lots of looking up in different sets. It lists name, picture, skill, labor, dimension, build-mats, the building raw, the reaction raws for all reactions done in this building, and the requirements, which is losely the building/tech-level you need to make this building.

The building thing is something the community can do. It's very easy for us to build a building and see its reactions and reagents. Don't worry about doing that.

What isn't easy for us is to see coverage on different armors or edge and piercing values on weapons. Which, I've heard, you've got covered ;)

Edit: Oh, and another thing: The wiki page for the Boulder Crab animal is instead "Stone Crab".. What's up with that? Is it possible to change it?

Dont know anything about any wiki pages about any crabs... ;) I guess it can be changed, why not?

coverage on different armors
Nope, I got nothing on armor. I only have weapons, ammo and trap comps. I dont have a script for armors.

I finished the workshops, they are all like the example above. Will do the furnaces as well. I only do this for dwarf mode, so its about 5h of work. I dont know Orc Mode well enough, and Kobold Mode has to wait till I refine it some more.

Done. There's an arrow top right, next to view history. You just click it and select move.

Good to know. I'll keep that in mind if any other pages have some discrepancies.

Just noting that I am making progress. Dwarf Workshops all have the new info, Dwarf Furnaces 50% done.

EDIT: Furnaces are done.

I might also do a tileset page with screenshots showing the different sets.

What about a "Essentials" page? Explaining what a new player must know when playing the mod? I dont know if this is needed, wanted, or if there is no interest in it.

I think it's needed, quite a few of the questions I've seen lately are from people who are new to the mod. If the questions are anything to go by needed information is on vermin hunters, guard animals and ore.

Someone, get the bug zapper! What do you mean that won't work on a bug the size of a house which glows? No, I don't want to hear it. Just get the damn zapper.

First things first -- cataloging the content. Tips and tricks will come, with time, once the wiki is more fleshed out and the community discovers them. We would need a decent page on the Stonecutter workshop, for example, before we write a paragraph narrative on how to effectively use it.

But now that I think of it, a quick 'getting started' article sounds pretty gucci...
