Don't forget, "but his biking shorts absorb the blow"

At least you now know why there are some odd typos, or why I sometimes make such stupid mistakes.. I code on a bus, plane, airport, whatever, and suddenly I have to pack everything away, or the power runs out, or I cant see the screen clearly because of all the bumps. ;)

And no bike-shorts atm, cant await till I am back with my bike, 2 more weeks. :)

You do need to tell us the story about the world trip some day. :P

And good luck on the lake btw.

Just answer some generic stuff, then, if you will.

If you could sum the whole trip up thus far into a single sentence, what would you say?

If you could assign the trip a color, what color would it be?

If you were a dwarf, what would your thoughts be?  :P
Meph slept in the dirt recently. Meph admired a building recently. etc

Which line from "Thrift Shop" by Macklemore best fits the trip?

Paper, or plastic?

On a scale from 1-100, what number is the trip?

I'm on holiday too. Walls and roads are made either with cement or stone blocks (that is, rough boulders stuck together with cement). Roofs are made of ceramics.

Do you ever happen to be called out by your travel mates, if you have any, for all the time you spend at the laptop or things like that?

Now that I've played 3h a bit more, some opinions:

The Research System: Too damn confusing and complex. Bunch of random stuff that might be annoying to acquire before actually doing the research, etc. Needs an option to disable it.

Ore Processor: I understand it was specially done to solve the slag bar issue, but honestly, I personally would rather have the slag bar mood issue. It not only makes for a particular annoying step at mineral processing, it makes hauling optimization very annoying. Coupled with the embark issues, I'd rather use it the old way. At least an option to disable it for those of similar mind?

One hour of story for each country I have been in would result in me talking for over 4 days straight, it the sentence would have to be a lot longer then this one, although I might want to add that the trip has not been a bad one.

If you could assign the trip a color, what color would it be?

Wtf, I dont even.

If you were a dwarf, what would your thoughts be?  :P
Meph slept in the dirt recently. Meph admired a building recently. etc

Meph complained about the noise. Meph didnt sleep last night. Meph has been stung by a mosquito. Meph has admired a nice temple lately. Meph has admired a nice lake lately. Meph has seen Bagan, the legendary field of 4000 temples. Meph is templed out.

Which line from "Thrift Shop" by Macklemore best fits the trip?

What is Thrift Shop and who is Macklemore? (I know, Google, but still)

Paper, or plastic?

Plastic, synthetics ftw

On a scale from 1-100, what number is the trip?

113 on a scale of 197 countries

Yep, but they can fo f themselves, if they cant appreciate the beauty behind playing Starcraft while lying in a hammok on a beach. ;) Or coding in a bus, while they sleep or listen to music, the lazy bunch. :P

Felius: It will be optional, but why is it too confusing and complex? What would you suggest to make it easier to understand for a player, more intuitive?

I can fix the slag bars differently I think, it was done to add refining steps and filter out base minerals. It will also be optional, but next update will have metals on the embark finder and ore for ore stockpiles. But yeah, I was surprised when it was the leading item on the poll about wanted features.

On the research system:

The items needed for each research feel a bit random, as well rather unclear for why they are needed. The Alchemy and Machinery research come to mind. The in-game listing of requirements does not really help that much.

Some items can be annoying to acquire, particularly on certain biomes or depending on your luck with the available ores.

Probably the biggest thing, it is not really clear what each research gives you. Say, what exactly depends on the machine research?

To be honest, most problems with the system can be solved with extensive documentation, although personally it'd still feel like an unnecessary complication purely for the sake of complexity itself. It doesn't feel like it adds to the game to me.

On the ores, well, that's a problem solved then. :D I guess most people didn't thought through the processing issues the extra step would cause, nor expected the side effects.

I was honestly surprised when I wasn't the only one to vote for it *lol*

I actually like it, was expecting it to be a bigger delay to building to start with and quite liking the extra blocks coming out of it.  does it also spit out rock "gems"?
