Wow, I am really unlucky then.  Cause I've played 2 colonial-modern sandbox games and have only ever seen one heir each.

There are some Penultimo missions that grant heirs too.

In unrelated news, I named my dynasty Papa Grande.

So far I've managed to receive two heirs in sandbox mode. One of my heirs decided to run off to America and become a mob boss though, so I'm down to one.

I took a peak at the Kalypso forums, and it looks as if modders are already working to change the population cap of 2,000: http://forum.kalypsomedia.com/showthread.php?tid=22981

Pricing made it a given. The same will be said for Gauntlet reboot.

I would have accepted $40 base and $30 one off expansion of significant content.

I paid £15 for the game, the DLC will eventually bring it up to full retail price - I'm happy providing, as above, the DLC are BIG content packs and not just costumes.

I don't know if you guys have tried out the multiplayer. But here was the take of myself, my girlfriend, and everyone who was on day 1 multiplayer that we saw:


Multiplayer has no save. You cannot quit and continue later.

There are no time settings. Period. The game cannot be paused. The game cannot be slowed. If you try to make an heir, the game will go on without you while you're in the editor. You will waste mandate time and may very well have lost by the time you finish. If you take too long weighing options for rewards from the tasks given to you, the game will pick for you. Or at least it did to my GF.

The lobby system sucks. Individual games do not have their own lobbies or lobby chats and every time someone starts a new game, it says so in the lobby chat. Chatting becomes completely impossible because the words get spammed out of existence by "so and so created a new game".
