So when we last left off, Irwin had basically ruined our entire show by being a massive prick, so the absolute first order of buisness is of course...
First off, we were paying him on a non binding per appearance contract. This means we could cut him at any time for no compensation. I took advantage of this. Now, this didn't bump our overall morale up much, a few points really, but the main problem was all the backstage incidents he was causing. The only other backstage cancer we have at the moment is Powerful Man, but as long as he doesn't directly antagonize anyone, we can try to make him work. After all, the kid's only 20 years old, so he could easily grow into the whole "Not being an asshole" thing.
Next is on to the buisness of creating the new workers, Now first off, before we even get started, while searching in the unused images for a masked worker for the first worker... I came across this.
I do not have words for how unsettling he is.
MOVING ONNow unlike the first update where we made characters, I'm just going to show the finished contract for everyone right off the bat, because we all know how that works and none of you are going to be particularly interesting negotiations. Also, everyone's personality is randomizes, so some of you may be awesome company men, some may be giant assholes. Even I don't know!
Lastly, we aren't creating a referee. That would be far too easy of a way out, as creating a referee is basically just the person inputting the sliders going "DO I want a good one, or a shit one". It's more fun trying to find the diamond in the rough.
Anyway, the three wrestlers I selected (Sory, but Lil'un wouldn't work right for this because of age, plus three wrestlers are enough for now) are:
So, Bostov's gimmick is of course the vaguely stereotypical Russian big Man gimmick. His skills weren't quite up to snuff yet, so he's only being pushed at the lower Midcard. Bu hey, at least he isn't "Enhancement Talent". So he has that going for him. In addition, his size is absolutely massive, SuperHeavyweight being the second to largest, with only Giant being above it, and that's reserved for people like Andre The Giant.
First off, I couldn't find a image for a female wrestler with a green mask somehow. Working on finding it, if not, she'll just get a normal female mugshot when the next update rolls around. The official forums are down right now, so I couldn't search through the created imagines people have. Like to keep the art style consistant after all. Anyway, the closest to a the gimick requested was "Equality Fighter", and the game did say she may have some slight trouble working it with her actual skills. Because of this I've given her no input at all. Everything she says in the ring is going to be rehearsed line for line before the show. This both minimizes risk, while also making a breakout star less likely. However, we have plenty of Star Power already, we need more middle talent to begin with.
Lastly, we have Albatross. His gimmick is that he's an alien invader. Or he thinks he is. Or aliens invaded his mind. Or experimented on him. To tell the truth his story changes every week and we can't keep track of it. We sorta just shove a microphone into his face and let him rant. It's all very confusing. However he makes up for his mind scrambling insanity with his amazing ring work. Although his complete lack of coherence will prevent him from being one of out stars, he will shone in the Midcard, and get to challenge the Main Eventers fairly often.
So these are our three new wrestlers, which brings us to a net gain of two workers after parting ways with Irwin. I'm feeling pretty good about them, although I'm not quite pleased with how much damn money Albatross wanted. But with Irwin no longer on the payroll we should still be making a profit.
Finally, the news that happened during contract negotiations. The only thing of note was a retirement:
It's not much of a surprise, as in the default DB he already was retired, but in the expanded database he was brought back to own one of the new promotions. It will be interesting to see how PAIN winds up doing without it's legendary owner.
Anyway, that's all for now. The show will be sometimes this week, and then the regularly scheduled Monday update. With that, I leave you with another WWF/WWE clip devoid of context.
Scot Steiner trying to attempt math. It's a typography with just the audio, but I couldn't find the real clip.
