Kedardovia's military attacks from the mountains, taking our border troops by surprise and quickly forceing them back from the foot hills.

The counter attack is spear headed by our tanks and supported with scouting from our Planes and Airships.
The tanks quirky become feared for there Belt-12s ability to fire explosive shells at range, and sweep a trench with a devastating hail of lead when using case shot.

As spring brakes the planes are mosty back under Crohakonen rule but the Kedardovians are far from beaten.

2.Modified Belt 12 (Aircraft version)
The Belt 12 is quickly shaved down to a mere 157kg for Aircraft usage.

The experiments with Rocket artillery go well and the order to make a number for testing is approved.

When you first see the new infantry 37mm armour gun it fill you with a lingering feeling of dread, there is something just not right about it.
The STREP-2 Quick-load Recoilless Artillery is a heavy 150mm gun mounted to a  motorized bed, capable of firing a 45kg shell 8 km.
The ROT-8/R appears to be made from 4 guns that where joined together as each barrel has it own breach and magazine.
It quick becomes clear that as each barrel and breach can be removed or reloaded with out stopping the others for more than a few seconds.
Indeed as it rotates the firing barrel it is less prone to overheating than other Designs.

As the county shifts to a war footing you manage to gain control of a small factory and dry dock.

1. The 37mm infantry armor gun is in fact a low-powered mortar. Or rather say, a grenade launcher. I can see its use as a trench gun (with shot) but perhaps we should make grenade shells for it.

2. The Rockets need a mobile launcher.

3. Make a version of a separate ROT-8/R. One Breech, one Barrel, One magazine. Should be man-portable for now.

4. As I said, make a 8mm version of the 1/4 ROT-8R. If it is cheap enough it could be our main infantry personal weapon.

5. Tanks are fine, for now. Focus on armor first for the next design, while trying to push for a better engine.

6.make a 4 decimeter knife with the center of mass around 150 cm from the tip
7.make fragmentation bomb with a 8 second delay and that looks somewhat like this
where gray=strong metal red=explosive black=fragmentation
8. make high explosive grenade
9.accurate long range bolt action anti-material rifle that fires 15 mm bullets for armored cars, light cover and tanks

(Do our stocks of strange metals actually increase? Or haven't they updated yet)

We are forgetting to add traits to weaponry, btw

Six seems quite impossible to me. Also, 4 decimeter is quite long.

Was design 5 not used due to name or what? Because if so than I am probably gonna add it agean.

As for production I vote we get a blast furnace so we can mess with our own alloys and perhaps a hangar.

You have impact triggered exploding shells, Case Shot (think giant shotgun shells) and Solid Steel shells in 37 mm.

4 decimeter is 400m or 16 inchs, large for a knife but do able in the huge cleaver type Bowie way.

Wait, why did we make the strep 2? It only got four votes while the unnamed design got five... Or are you picking several things out of the top 6 voted things?

Firing 3cm grenades from the belt-12 would be a worrying idea. All it takes is for one of the hundreds of shells in the ammo belt to jam and KAPOW. Stick to AP rounds - at 300rpm, this gun could mow down a concrete wall.

Will still be quite pointless, as all things aside, cavalry tends to do poorly in mountainous areas.

Just throwing these in. Up to you whether to take this seriously or not.
---

We have tanks and planes, which is good. But effective as they are, they're few in numbers. How about upgrading some of our infantry?
They would be elite units, preferably made from veteran cyborgs. Not only a way to put their experience to good use, but also potentially to return crippled soldiers to the battlefield, stronger than ever. They would be our elite shock troops of DOOM.
They should have heavy armor, the vital areas rifle-proof up to close range. Such an armor would certainly be heavy, excluding liberal use of Auftriebium alloys, but this resource is probably better spent on other projects as the task of these elite troops would be leading brief assaults, where the weight of the armor is not as much of a hindrance as in a drawn-out battle.
A gas mask should cover the face, as much for providing protection against chemical agents as to intimidate the enemy. Trench coat is optional.
An excellent weapon for terrorizing the enemy would be the flamethrower, although other options such as a portable machinegun or grenade launcher would be good substitutes.
Armored personnel carriers would ferry these units to the front line, exploiting gaps opened by tanks. This would counter the effect of a long march in heavy armor, and allow them to keep pace with the armored vehicles. The terror troops of DOOM would then disembark and quickly overwhelm enemy lighter troops. Conventional infantry would then follow , give support and mop up any stragglers.

We're currently going against a group of outdated fortresses. Which means that they have zero anti aircraft support. (Ok, maybe they tacked some stuff on, but I doubt it'll be sufficient).

With careful planning, we might be able to do a simultaneous air raid and capture the fortresses mostly intact, before the enemy can react.

11. Gliders, towable behind airships or aircraft
12. Man portable Shaped charges
13. Flamethrowers (Man portable)
14. Parachutes

A. Try some experiments with the Autrefbium alloys. I would like to know melting and vaporizing temperatures.
