It was described as a cannon. And with it's 5 meter barrel length, it might be a bit unwieldy to shoot down aircraft with it.
Read the first post again the  barrel length only 832 mm not 5meters, in total there no more than 1420 mm long including stock.

what kinds of trees do we have access to
You have stocks of ash and pine trees but are able to inport any kind of tree or lumber if need be.

so how does this work? Are there updates on the situation? Do we just post upgrades until we hit ftl drives?

Situation updates are posted periodically. Might try to look for the now deceased predecessors for inspiration.

Both of the previous games because of an administrative overload. Please don't joke around with the numbers, they're there to make this manageable for the GM.

((In fact, if I were the GM I would simply ignore invalid suggestions.))

It's underarmed (german airships had up to 30 guns on their bomber airships alone, and that's unsufficient), underequipped (10 guys doesn't warrant sending an airship. Especially because it isn't exactly a stealthy insertion), and ill defined. (Really, the size varies between smaller than the prototype to 3 times larger than the Hindenburg)

Lets split my ideas in two, as the papercase bombs where meant as a different thing.

As for weapons on the big airship, there are going to others besides the three big ones, those are just the ones in the gondola that arent hand held. At the moment it can be used as a naval scout and sutch. As for the size I have the size for the main parts...
