well, doubles would have worked better if it wasn't for everything I had being one-shotted

there I am making everything bulky as fuck, relying on their synergy abilities to buff eachother with moves that hit everything - nope, dead before they can do a damn thing. Disapponting, really

Huh. Looks like I never ended up picking a letter in the old thread. Also, based on what little research I've done, doubles is basically all sweepers and such in tourneys because the ability to focus fire on one pokemon basically makes non weather based setup more or less impossible. Mostly looked at the smogon page for vgc, but a lot of it probably isn't as relevant because we use 6 pokemon instead of 4, no item clause, all ubers are banned in our rules(they're apparently going to allow up to two in the next one, and not all are available still), and they play at level 50, not 100. Now then, time to start making a team.

Edit: Teams Basically done. Just need to do nicknames.
Edit: Done. Lazy nicknames yay.
Edit: Does anyone else think it'd be a good idea for us to request a private chat room for our battles?
4x Edit Combo: Oh yeah, teams for NU in case it wasn't obvious.

I'd been thinking about it for a while, and I just put in a request to that effect.  We'll see if the reply is favourable; we don't have that many people, after all.

At any rate, my own NU team is ready.  I think the letter I had chosen was "L", or at least, that's what all my nicknames now are.  With that and my doubles team ready, I think that's about everything, save for the battles themselves.  ^_^

Odds of Snarl missing: 5%
Odds of getting Paralyzed, then Para-locked for three consecutive turns: 7.5%
Odds of both happening in a single battle: 0.4%

"So much hax" pretty much sums it up.  Only reason I really won, I think.  The devil of it is, that isn't even a Hackrachi.  She only has Thunder because of rain support; none of her other moves work with Serene Grace.

EDIT: Fixed because I can't do maths.

new idea for a braket, for thos interested:

Dualism themes. 3 Pokemon of the team sticking to one theme, and 3 pokemon of the theme sticking to the direct opposite.
The more opposed the mons are, the better.

I'll be tossing in a team Dark and Edgy vs Cute and Fluffy.
Spoiler: team (click to show/hide)

can probably find use both in doubles and in solos

if no one is against it, I'd like to use it also in shipping tourney, as the duality-thing kinda works for that. The mons are already listed in their pairs.

any interested? if Not for a tourney, maybe just for a few battles

NU against Person: My win.  We went a second round as well, which was much closer (Sunny Solarbeams on a 4x Grass weakness), but being absentminded, I forgot to get the replay before closing out.

Versus Kansa, Doubles: My win, though he had terrible luck with Wisp missing constantly.
Versus Kansa, NU: My loss.  I completely underestimated Butterfree, though given how I've used Quiver Dance myself, I really shouldn't have. ^_^
