Efa nodded in Sheila's direction and made her way over to the group, making a noncommittal sound as she sat down.

[Sirus]

Grifen poured a fourth cup of tea (her last one, sadly) and handed it to Efa. Looked like the poor sniper could use a pick-me-up.

"Still not a morning person, eh Efa?"

[Xanmyral]

Fezz had spent the night prior investigating the black shard to the best he could and didn't get much sleep during the night, but regardless to that he seemed very awake this morning as he plopped down with the others around the tea kettle. The black shard was out and visible, but it was notably attached to a swiftly-tied length of cord and the historian kept it a healthy distance from himself. Contrasting to his prior contact with the stone, he seemed aware and well.

"Morning everyone. Did I miss anything?"

[Sirus]

: "Mornin'! Hang on, lemme get ya somethin' to drink..." The nomad quickly drained her cup, then poured out the last of her kettle and handed it over to Fezz.

: "We just been talkin' a bit about nothin' much. Ciera's thinkin' about changin' her hair color."

[Powder Miner]

:"Mornings are the worst and will always be the worst."
:"And... change her hair color? To what?"

Sheila, who had not seen the shard up to this point, took a pointed interest in it immediately. "Hey Fezz. What's the thing on a string?"

[Swordstar]

"No, no, I'm not actually considering changing it, I was just wondering if I could pull it off. If I tried like blonde or something."

[Sirus]

:"Mornings are the worst and will always be the worst."

: "How could ya say that? Mornins are the best." The nomad was so used to rising with the sun that anything else seemed vaguely abnormal to her. She puttered around with the kettle to brew up another batch of tea.

[Powder Miner]

:"Heh... blonde hair? Ciera... I'm the only one of us with blonde hair and I'm also the only single person in this little circle right now. I should ask you if I can pull off green or red hair or something."

[Xanmyral]

"Ah, thank you!" The scholar accepted the tea happily and drank deep before speaking again.

"Changing her hair color? To what? Black or white? Those are the easiest I know of to dye at least. ...I think? Not really my expertise."

He was drawn out of the topic of hair by Sheila, who looked at the black shard. "Oh! This is something I found in the ruins. Quite interesting, powerful magic. As to what it is, without references or books I'm afraid I'm limited on what exactly it is. From my investigations though, it is a black shard that is amazingly sturdy and very reactive to magic. It acts as a sort of... Sponge, I suppose? Draws it into itself but from there I don't know what happens."

"Reason why I'm not touching it anymore. Not dangerous, but it tends to be rather... Muddling, to those who use magic."

[Swordstar]

"But... you look good with blonde hair! Why would you want to change that? Just because you're single doesn't mean anything. Like... I mean, there are still guys in this group and if none of them suit you then there's always after... all of this."

[Powder Miner]

: "How could ya say that? Mornins are the best." The nomad was so used to rising with the sun that anything else seemed vaguely abnormal to her. She puttered around with the kettle to brew up another batch of tea.

:"Blehhh. Because I stay up too long at night."

:"Also... heh, I'm not too concerned about guys, really. I'll just finish this whole mess first."

"A magic sponge, eh? I wonder if that'd be helpful when we're fighting mages. Can I try it?"

[Sirus]

: "Hang on a sec though. If this thing absorbs magic, does that include healin' magic? If so, I'll need to fix up some medicine fer whoever is holdin' it."
