"Well, we can ask him about it when he wakes up." Sheila looked toward where the sun would likely soon be rising. For now, the sky was just moving from inky blackness to a sickly looking purple. As always, it was impossible to tell what that meant, if anything.

Leo, for his part, was sitting on a log on the other side of camp, doing his daily meditations.

[Swordstar]

"Hmm, yeah. There was a really cool lance though, that we found! It should really help me in our upcoming fights."

Miguel was smiling, bathing merrily in the dim morning air.

: "We may take pride in actions. We just cleared out a den of evil handily. No longer will the local population have to fear that wretched place any more!"

"That's good. I was kinda hoping we'd stumble across a heavy duty axe, but no such luck." Sheila glanced over at Leo for a moment, but he was just meditating. The former pirate turned her eyes back to the sky, a wistful expression on her face.

Miguel was smiling, bathing merrily in the dim morning air.

: "We may take pride in actions. We just cleared out a den of evil handily. No longer will the local population have to fear that wretched place any more!"

"Yeah, I sorta doubt anyone is lining up to move in."

Watching Sheila, Ciera quietly leaned in and asked,

"Are... are things doing any better with you two?"

[Haspen]

The raven, seemingly curious about Leo, flew down the tree and landed on the other side of the log.

Sheila covered her face with her right hand. "Not really. We haven't talked any more since he overheard me gushing about him in front of my dad."

[SeriousConcentrate]

Leo cracked open an eye when he noticed it, and held out a finger for it to perch on if it wanted.

[Swordstar]

"I uhm... I sorta... talked with him? During the whole... goo monster thing? I... I hope I didn't do something wrong, I just wanted to help..."

Sheila took in a huge breath, then forced it out her nose. "Ciera, sweetie, what did you talk to him about?"

[Haspen]

The raven opened it's beak like :v and stared at Leo. Then it hopped closer and tilted its head few times at different angles.

"Frrrreends?" It croaked.

"Frrrraaaa's frrreends?" Leo could notice a tiny piece of parchment carefully wrapped around raven's left leg, tied to it with a string.

The other right leg was seemingly broken. Who knows if it might be important for someone's wellbeing.

[Swordstar]

"Well, uhm... I kinda... asked him what was up with you two? And... and asked him why he was letting the two of you be stuck... And then he asked me if I was asking if you two should just run off to some chapel or... or... gotosomesecludedcorner but but then I think I convinced him that maybe he should think about the future and not wait for the perfect moment because we're in a war and we need to take the happy moments where they come and also Alec was with me and he didn't stop me so it's his fault too if I messed up!"

She paused and then quietly added,

"Also he sorta mentioned something about wondering what you would do if he gave up being a priest?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Friends? I suppose. Let's make a trade. That parchment for a healed leg."

Leo drew power from the staff at his side and extended a hand surrounded by a soft blue light toward the raven.

[Haspen]

The raven pecked Leo on finger and hopped away.

"Grrrain?" It asked, fluttering its wings some.
