"Maybe she thought we were working with the Imperials... Speaking of, we should probably go send people to Fyra."

"No, Julius. That's just the way Matilda always was. The only difference is that this time we were in her way rather than helping her."

[Furtuka]

"...I... I was afraid of that. I had wanted to believe that..."

Julius stopped talking and walked over to the chasm and looked down into it. He shook his head sadly.

"They're not going to forgive us for this you know."

[CrimsonEon]

: "All too aware of it, Julius." Alec shook his head, then mumbled something.
: _{"I only hope my precautions were enough."}
: "Well, between me and Leo, I think I can try to wrest a few more answers from Fyra in regards to the Cult's involvement in all this. Though... If trouble does actually come up, Leo's far better a choice for such a small group. Tough call."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"It doesn't matter any more. We're not on the side of the imperials or the rebellion. All that's left for us to do is investigate the Divola brothers and find out what the church is planning... and grab the Crown Blade and rise above both sides of the civil war."

Leo turned to Alec.

"I suppose that settles it. You can stay out here and talk to Fyra, and I'll go in the tomb."

[CrimsonEon]

: "I thought Fyra was going in the tomb, with the other three. Y'know, to act as a guide?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"She said she was only opening the door and for us to worry about the traps ourselves, so I assumed she was staying put. Perhaps we should ask her and clear it up."

Leo walked over to Fyra.

"A question. Are you also going into the tomb, or staying out? It will help us determine who is going."

Fyra grimaced at the question but remained silent for a moment, before another flash of light came from the door.

"I won't be defiling the tomb." She glared at Leo. "And the door has been opened. Who are the three people who shall be going inside?"

[CrimsonEon]

Alec shrugged.
: "Well, either way It'll probably be Leo. So, Leo, Fezz and Julius." He then turned to Julius and spoke in a low whisper.
: "Classy-mask, I just need to clear a couple things with you. As a group, we came here to investigate whether the Crown Blade is here, and any hints we can find about the Cult's role in trying to stop us, and in raiding here. We have no reason to antagonize Commander Fyra unless the Crown Blade really is here, and even then, it might be to our advantage to leave it be for now."
: "All I'm asking is that we try to keep a low profile. We keep this calm and orderly, then even if the Blade isn't here we can still come out of this with answers and someone who might be privy to help us in the future."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Myself, my brother Fezz, and Julius."

Leo gestured to the people in question, then made an 'after you' motion to Julius, indicating he should check the door for traps before going in.

Fyra pushed on the door, and the runes faded as the heavy door opened with a creak and rumble. Then she stood beside it.

"Better hold on your promise." She uttered to all three as they went in.

The tomb was a giant, long hall stretching into the darkness. Tall, square pillars supported the ceiling, preventing it from collapsing. The green tiles of mosaics were much better preserved here, forming whole floor and the walls still had whole patterns intact.

It was an eerie place, and a disturbing one too; on small alcoves, lined on both sides of the corridor, were skeletons, each of them maimed; one's skull was crushed while another's was missing. Another had several ribs missing, as if some blade cut them off. And another was missing every bone of its left arm. Each alcove had a plaque, but whatever writing was on them was already gone. This creepy display of skeletons was inconsistent with any burial rite of early Empire that Fezz knew of.

Then, at the end of the corridor, there was a small archway. After passing underneath it, the trio ventured into a small burial chamber, with a huge sarcophagus made of dull metal. The Imperial Flag, dusty and it's thread bare and ripped severely, was hanging still, attached to the low dome-like ceiling above it.

Then there was a chilling breeze...

"Why are you disturbing my eternal rest?" A disembodied voice asked quietly.

[Furtuka]

EARLIER

"If it calms you Alec, I didn't have any plans against her right now... we've gone too far for it to have meaning at this point."

"Is that..." Well there's something right out of a tale

Julius took a step forward.

"Are you Troy the first?"

Ciera frowned as she watched the others go into the tomb. She hadn't tried to convince Fyra to let them in for sake of her going into the tomb, but she couldn't deny that she would have liked to go in. Still. She smiled at Fyra.

"I just wanted to say thank you for helping us out. I mean... I know you didn't do it for us. You did it because you wanted revenge. But still. You helped us get out of there with everyone alive. So thank you."

A green silhoutte began to coalesce in front of the sarcophagus, before it turned into a proper ghost; that of a tall man dressed in armor and cape. He looked at the three with his eye-less gaze.

"Who else do you think would be interred in the tomb of Troy Lionheart? I ask again, why am I disturbed so soon? The last lady that visited promised fifty years of peaceful sleep. But it had been hardly twenty, before you three show up." The empty eyesockets stared down at Fezz, Julius and Leo; all three men could feel a freezing chill going up their spines when the gaze of the dead Emperor rested upon them.

"Ah, you've brought one of my descendants here. So you're here to receive my blessing, then? Is that a tradition in the Empire now?"

"Hmph. Don't mention it. If not you, I would've failed in my task for sure. Divola, there was a chance I could take on my own. But rebel leader Matilda and her troops would kill me. I'm grateful, especially that you also got rid of dangerous enemy of the Empire."
