"Excuse me." Said one of the caretakers, approaching Grifen. "Are you the owner of this horse?"

Grifen waved to Tacey as the other horserider passed.

: "Howdy! Yer Tacey, right? We ain't had much of a chance to talk since ya joined up the other day, but it's nice to--"

Her friendly greeting was interrupted by the arrival of one of the stablekeepers.

: "Of course. I raised her practically from birth."

[Haspen]

"Right. We found a splinter in her left side. The whole area was showing symptoms of infection. It must've been for a long time there. But we pulled the splinter out and healed the wound with magic, praised be Dragon. The horse should now fare better than before. In a day or so, she should be more vigorous than ever!"

[Sirus]

: "What? Where?! I swear I checked her over every day, I would have seen somethin like that!"

[Culise]

"Aye, I am, and yer...?"

The stablekeeper interrupted, and when he mentioned the splinter, she winced slightly in sympathetic understanding, patting Creidhne as he nickered. 

"Plainly busy, I see."

"Yeh gotta be careful with yer partner.  When it comes down to it, there's no one else yer life depends more on than yer horse."

@Grifen:

"Oh, the splinter got quite deep into her skin. It must have got there a while ago. But you don't have to worry, the horse will be fine."

: "But...but...oh Bree, I'm so sorry! Please forgive me!" She hugged the horse, which merely tried to nuzzle her in return.

Sheila shrugged- Apparently she was the only one there who was hungry. "Well, if we could get some fresh bread, that'd be great. I'm starved."

The guards brought bread, ham, wine, beer, butter and cheese, full amount of plates and knives and set it in the large table in the middle of the guests' apartment, as it turned out those are several rooms connected to a main, dining hall.

"Thanks! You boys certainly know how to treat guests!" Sheila tossed her things into one of the rooms, and quickly began making herself a ham sandwich.

Leo finally got to the chapel and entered. He decided to take stock of his surroundings and perhaps see if the local priest was around before doing anything else.

After spending a few hours taking extra-good care of Bree, Grifen returned to the guest quarters and went straight to her room. She still felt terrible about missing the splinter and Tacey's words, while true, also stung.

The priest, elderly man with bald head and impressive beard, was browsing the pages of a book that was laying upon the gold-encrusted altar, with the corners shaped like dragon heads. For a shrine far away from Dia and mainland empire, the altar looked quite rich and expensive.

@Roderic:

Roderic quickly found out that there was an explosion at the Weaponcrafter's Guild which rendered the main armory inoperable for some time. Considering that half of the building collapsed, it will be a long 'some time'.

However, he learned that:

-Spellbook seller in Trade District
-Apothecary in Temple District
-Adventurer's Gear in Trade District
-'Dogan's Crossbows' in Gate District
