Leymont nodded at the name with a slight smile, before realization hit him like a horse hits a poor duck in the middle of the road.

"Candy is a man? I... oh..." The soft smile immediately turned into a grimace of utter sadness and dissappointment.

"Well, thanks again for healing."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Well... Elenore is free, as far as I know, although she's also a snake so good luck with that. Even assuming you like metal masks."

[Haspen]

Leymont sighed.

"I've been raised and told stories that women are weak and it is sacred duty of every man to protect a woman, even an unknown one. But this... group is crushing my beliefs every moment. I think I will remain chaste for now..."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"It's not a bad life, and very good for you spiritually speaking. I myself have taken that vow."

Leo laughed quietly.

"But whoever told you women are weak has never met my friends. Sakura, Maible, Efa, Sheila... all are very strong, free-spirited, independent women, and I count myself lucky to know them."

"Nevertheless, upholding the ideal of protecting those weaker than you - men and women alike - is a very worthy, noble life. You have my respect, Sir Leymont."

[Haspen]

"Thank you, I've been trying my best. I was actually wondering how you can remain so pure and chaste amongst such... extravagant types of women. Any tips or advice, father Leo? Or are you of lower rank?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

Leo nodded.

"Just a brother at the moment, yes. As for how I manage..."

The priest sighed.

"It is not easy by any stretch of the imagination. But I respect and value their friendship too much to risk it by treating them like... like the average sailor treats a tavern wench... the same as I respect and value my own commitment to my vows too much to break them. I believe one's faith must be tested if it is to remain true, and these travels can certainly be a trial at times."

"At the same time, I suppose it helps that I don't know what I'm 'missing' so to speak, similar to, say, a blind salamander in a deep cave 'missing' the sun."

He shrugged.

[Haspen]

"I see. Personally I've been simply avoiding being around women too long, and when they ask for help, I just help them and I get on my way immediatelly afterwards. So far, it worked quite nicely."

[SeriousConcentrate]

Leo thought about that.

"Avoiding the temptation in the first place... yes, that's a good idea, and one many of my fellow brothers use, but I'm afraid it's already too late for me to try that."

Leymont was winning points in Leo's book for simply helping out women in trouble, regardless.

[Haspen]

"Hmm, you mean there's already one of those flowers that turn their petals toward you? Watch out, my friend, unless you will become a father in literal sense." Leymont nodded wisely. "I think we should cut on the chatter and concentrate on the fight, or the ladies will do all the dirty work for us."

[Zako]

"Once more, into the fray... I just hope I can make a wound through that armour..."

"I'm not sure about that... just that I've already rather surrounded myself with women and so avoiding them is out of the question. But yes, you're quite correct. There will be time for faith and philosophy on the road. Right now, it's time to worry about the enemy forces."

Leo turned his attention eastward once more.
