With her mind busied by battle, tiny inklings poked at the periphery between Miguel's words, and Cyra's conversations with Ciera.

Honestly I wonder where everyone's hometown is. They say Ciera very differently where I'm from, and I wonder if she even remembers the last time we talked? I should talk to her more--I should talk to the rest here more. I've nearly forgotten--unless that's the wrong term--why I didn't want to be a mercenary in the first place. I should've been a scholar so I can explain these things better.
