The first of the spiders suddenly decided otherwise and went after Efa, its mandibles snapping the air just inches away from her face. The other attacked Fezz right away, biting his hand - in response, its mouth got scorched by magical flames.

Another surge of venom, Fezz is by now extraordinarily fed up with venom. The scholar clutched his arm as he felt fire swiftly spread up it and inside of him until his whole body hurt, he noted with some agitation that this poison is much, much faster than the one previous. His whole body shouted at him to flee, to run as fast as he could and never look back.

Yet at the same time there was something tapping away at his mind, something that caused him to tremble with more than just fear. Power. Nononono-not again, focus! Focus! The scholar physically held his hands up to his head roughly and audibly gritted his teeth, keeping his eyes squeezed shut to attempt to block out the sensory overload.

Not working, I need to burn it off, get rid of it, now! With a snap he opened his eyes and looked at the spider in the forest for a moment, eyes jittering from place to place as if seeing everything for the first time. His attention shifted onto the spider to his left, and seemed to see what he was looking for.

"Burn."
