"Wh... Oh. OH. No. No, uhm, we just... he fell out of bed. And was too tired to get back up. Nothing... No."

"...Well that's disappointing. You two obviously made up and you spent all night together. What gives?"

Alec, meanwhile, couldn't stop snickering.
: "Khheh. Stow it, Salt-top. I've been at this longer than you have."
: "Call it an incentive to survive today, alright Sea-legs? I've got work to do and someone important to protect. I'm not backing down 'til we're through it."
Alec took the moment to wrap his arm around Ciera next to him.

[SeriousConcentrate]

Leo grinned.

"At least I can still walk around normally."

He reached over and bopped Alec with his Heal staff.

"Jokes aside, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to let you go into this assault with an injury."

[Swordstar]

Ciera leaned into the hug, quite happy and comfortable right where she was.

[Haspen]

A young man in traveller's robe just entered the inn. He looked around at various patrons and then made his way to Leo and company. He adressed Grifen.

"Hello miss. Are you... that one person, that my friend told me about, that is looking for a pretty large wagon for a lengthy trip to a special place?"

[Sirus]

Grifen, who had been giggling at the table's antics, turned to the stranger in surprise.

: "Maybe. Does this friend of yers have a name?"

[Haspen]

"He likes to be called 'The General'."

[Sirus]

: "In that case...yeah, I guess that's me." Considering that no one other than her friends and the people at the meeting knew who Grifen was, the secrecy seemed a bit silly to the nomad. Oh well.

"Oh, tips would be helpful, yes!" Fezz was eager to hear what she might say to help make Grifen happy, and obviously oblivious to the underlying implications of Sheila's offer. "Although I wouldn't really say hands off... I have been trying to get to know her better. Just... Well, I imagine it would be different if she hanged around you as a friend than me, so you might have a better perspective on what she likes."

Fezz was silent as the guest spoke with Grifen, paying close attention.

Sheila chuckled. "Not exactly what I meant Fezz. But I can certainly give you some helpful advice from a feminine perspective." Sheila leaned close to Fezz and whispered in his ear about certain specialized marital arts before moving to a less personal distance. "Don't lead with that though. Start by just making contact. Put your hand on hers, stroke her hair, that kinda thing. And if you have time, I can tell you about other stuff too. Things that'll make her weak in the knees."

"Not exactly what you meant--Oh." The historian was cut off when Sheila began whispering in his ear.

"Oh my." His face was red as a cherry.

"I--uh--I can't say I had that in mind when I asked for t-tips. Um. Er." To say that his train of thought was thrown off is to imply that its still at least partially on the rails.

[Haspen]

"Then let's go." The man then guided everyone through the alleys and streets to a large, privately-owned stables of some wealthy patrician of the city.

Inside the stables, it was rather dark as the sun had yet to go up. Several men were preparing a large wagon for travel, reining horses and putting up the linen over the carriage's structure to make a tent. Commander Fyra and General Carlinn were there as well.

"Glad to see you, everyone. "

"Such a... colorful band." Carlinn rubbed his chin, looked over the mercenaries, especially Sheila and Fezz and Leo. Then he spotted Ciera and her pegasus. "I wasn't informed of a pegasus rider..."

"Apologies..."

"It is allright. By divine luck, her personal armor is in the shades of Imperial Army. If anything, she can just accompany the wagon and we can claim she is a personal messenger of mine."

Leo noticed the inspection of himself and his wife and took Sheila's hand.

"Do you need something?"
