"Then I should take you to my friends." And she took them, via twisting passages with low ceilings, which Julius experienced twice with his own forehead.

They have entered a room that was bathed in darkness. There was a table, and on top of it a lit candle was being covered by a ladle, of all things. Soon however a hand took the ladle away, and the fully lit candle illuminated faces of four men. Commander Fyra sat amongst four others; three of them wore Imperial armor, one had an exquisite robe with Imperial emblem on it, and the last was wearing traveling gear and extravagant shade of blue hair.

A white-haired man was the eldest amongst the five. He rubbed his moustache and then looked at Julius, then Grifen.

"Those are descendants of Troy you told us about?" Commander Fyra nodded. The robed man leaned forward in his seat, looking intently at Julius.

"Mm, hmm, yeees. The hair color is close, quite close, to that of Troy V. Mayhaps they speak the truth."

"The Crown Blade. We have heard, from Commander Fyra, that you can both wield it, and that the boy have spoken with the ghost of the First Emperor. Is that all true?"

[Furtuka]

Julius nodded.

"It is true." he said, drawing the crown blade and presenting it to them as proof.

"I and a pair of companions were allowed to enter the tomb of Troy Lionheart. Within it we encountered the ghost of the first emperor, and he gave me his blessing. He was also, I must, greatly displeased to hear how the empire had been run following his death."

[Haspen]

The gathered men - except the blue-haired one - murmured amongst themselves for a brief moment.

"Hmm, sheathe the blade and please pass it to the little miss so she can be tested as well."

[Furtuka]

Julius put the Crown Blade in his scabbard and passed it to Grifen.

[Sirus]

Grifen accepted the sword and drew it, holding it up for inspection.

[Haspen]

The elders murmured at the sight.

After a while, the robed man nodded.

"May I... see the blade. And the sheath. Both are equally important."

[Furtuka]

Julius put a hand on Grifen's shoulder to stop her before she could hand it over.

"While I'm sure you have the best intentions in mind sir, we would prefer not to hand over such an important item to someone who we do not yet even know the name of."

[Haspen]

"Ha ha! One of them does have a spine!" The older men looked at the youngest but said nothing. After a moment, the robed man coughed.

"You are right. I simply wanted to inspect the blade and sheath to see if they are genuine."

"Magister Torriani is extremely cautious these days. He is of the Royal Magic Academy. I am Carlinn, Infantry General of Imperial Army."

"Captain August, I am too of Imperial Army, and I'm in charge of the Eastern Gate of the Capital City." The older men then looked at the blue-haired man. He smirked, and continued to smirk before Commander Fyra let out a cough.

"Allright then! You may call me the Spymaster. I lead the Ears and Eyes of the Emperor. Finally we meet, but it's a pity I can't see the rest of your merry band. Rarely my agents fail twice against the same people. That's an achievement in my eyes. And prime reason why you're all still alive." Others shifted, glanced and sweated in discomfort.

[Furtuka]

Julius nodded in acknowledgement and gave it a couple seconds thought.

"I see... I suppose it would do no harm to let you take a quick look at it." he said, taking the Crown Blade from Grifen and sheathing it before offering it up for inspection, making sure to keep a very close eye on it and the old man.

[Haspen]

Magister took the blade and stared at it intently, checking out the sheath, the hilt, then its sides and the leatherwork.

"It is authentic Crown Blade, that's for sure." General Carlinn let out a hum while Magister, with utmost care, returned the sheathed blade to Julius.

"So, after seventy years, we will have Troy's descendant as a pretender for the throne..."

"I've told you!" Magister Torriani let out a huff.

"Not so fast my dear Commander." Magister shifted on his chair, turning toward others. "They do have the blood of Troy Lionheart in them, but we have to trace their lineage. He looked at Grifen and Julius. "Dear children, who are your parents, where do they come from, and which of them has or had a dark green hair?"

[Furtuka]

"That would be my father." Julius said, taking a breath. "As far as I'm aware, he and my mother were Kretosian commoners. Farther than that, I'm unaware of their origins or further history since I... abandoned the household at a very young age. I'm not even sure if they're still alive."

[Sirus]

Grifen his her nervousness as best she could. Considering how important these men seemed to be, it wasn't easy.

"My ma has hair like mine. She comes from Mieros, though I don't know where her family came from before that. Pa's side of the family is Masallan."

[Xanmyral]

Meanwhile, in an entirely intrigue-less scene, the historian contents himself by reading his newly purchased books in a quiet corner he found for himself. Occasionally he would take a drink from something in an animal skin, but otherwise seemed absorbed in his reading.

He idly wondered how the others were before noticing an interesting divergence in one of the pentacles he was familiar with, investigating further.

[Haspen]

Magister quirked his eyebrow.

"Your mother had?... do you know if her father, perchance, had dark green hair? Maybe you know his name?" General, Commander and Captain looked a bit puzzled at such thorough query, while Spymaster's grin only widened.

[CrimsonEon]

Alec wandered through the streets, eyes somewhat hazed over and occasionally glancing to the side. Continuing through an alleyway, he spots the nearby inn that the group agreed to stay at, and enters it himself.

Just as he enters through the doorway himself, he scanned the room and quickly found Fezz in the corner, reading by the light through a nearby window.
: "Hoy, Duster. Trying to read up on those ruins, perchance?"
