Leaning on an alley wall, Efa inspected her bows-- while her two more basic ones were A-OK, the better bow she'd been using recently looked like it would snap in a stiff breeze. She had to get herself a new bow! And so she wandered around looking for a bowyer's store.

Ciera just nodded at Sheila and started to head out of the shop, heading to check out any shop that hasn't been visited yet, not counting the bow shop that Efa is going to.

Sheila and Leo go to the Staff shop then.

Apothecary was open and the lady inside had pretty reasonable prices, despite the war shortages.

Then at the marketplace, an elderly man was selling various trinkets, some of the magical and truly 'exceptional'.

Local fletcher was closed for whatever reason it might be. However, nearby a strapping young man was producing crossbows.

"Welcome, welcome! Are you an adventurer? I have weapons just for a shady cutthroaty adventurer bunch. I have friends who have other things for such people, but I don't divulge information to bypassers." He grinned, and showed his wares.

Ciera looked over the trinkets and then looked up at Alec.

"Anything that catches your eye here?"

Alec, who was looking over the magic trinkets, briefly turned to Ciera with a smirk on his face he hasn't used in quite a while.
: "Well, there is one pretty thing sitting in front of me, but I think you already know what I'm talking about."
He held that face for a second, then chuckled to himself and scratched the back of his head.
: "Ah, heh. Sorry, that was uncalled for." Alec looked at the sheet music that was sitting on one end of the table, "I'm wondering where the guy found this song, here... It looks an awful lot like some sheets I've dug up."

[Powder Miner]

:"Well, I have a companion who would certainly appreciate a crossbow, so I'll buy that one over there."
She handed the man the gold.
:"Nowww, if only there was some place to buy longbows."

"We could probably use another heal staff, love."

Leo looked over the assortment, picking up random staffs to feel what their sort of magic was by touching his aura to that contained within the equipment. Many seemed useful, but perhaps not as immediately useful as more healing power.

"Yeah, sounds good." Sheila looked over the staffs. Apart from the heal and mend varieties, she couldn't really tell one from the next. She pointed at the Restore staff at random. "What's that one?"

Ciera turned bright red and suddenly found her boots extremely interesting again.

"I, uhm... uhm, that is... uhm... Music, huh? That's... that's good. I don't know where he might have found it, maybe you could ask him. That'd be the only way to know for sure if it was the same thing as what you found. I mean, or you could buy it and compare I suppose. That would also work. But that wouldn't explain how he'd found it, so really that wouldn't work at all now that I think about it."

She slammed her mouth shut, well aware that she was babbling.

Alec couldn't help but chuckle lightly.
: "Ahah, you said 'Relax' earlier, didn't you? Just following your instructions, fly girl. If it's any consolation, the headache doesn't hurt so bad now."
: "I could buy it and compare, it might go some way if it's the same brand of magic as my other songs, but that'll require some research. And I'd rather not spend all of the group's money for some side-project."

"It cures a very wide variety of common magical curses, such as poison, sleep, and paralysis."

Ciera leaned up against the tall bard and shook her head.

"No, it's just... I'm not used to people saying things like that and then you've just been... I don't know. It's sometimes seemed like... No, that's not right. You just haven't been... as open about your feelings and stuff as some other people are about theirs. And that's fine! I mean, I just told you how I felt and we've been busy, so it's not like I expected more, I just... it caught me off guard I suppose."

Sheila was quiet for a moment, then spoke again, quietly. "What about those other staffs? The ones that make people go crazy. Would it stop that?"
