Sheila was silent for the shortest of all possible moments before giving the obvious answer. "Yes! Leo, I don't need anything else. I don't want to hear you apologizing for making my dreams come true." Sheila gave Leo a quick kiss, and smiled hugely at him before looking at Grifen. "Grifen!  I need you to be my maid of honor!"

Leo grinned.

"Well, Fezz, I believe I'll be needing a best man."

He turned back to Sheila.

"Is, say... an hour enough to prepare for everything?"

"Uh, probably? I don't really know what to prepare to be honest."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Well, I was thinking of borrowing your axe and cutting up that log over there to make a few basic seats for everyone. And in lieu of a veil, maybe Grifen could help make a garland of flowers? That sort of thing."

"Okay, I'll take care of the seating arrangements,  you go get ready, and once I'm done me and the girls can figure out the veil or flowers or whatever. Actually maybe we should all stand..."

[SeriousConcentrate]

Leo took the axe and gave Sheila a reassuring smile.

"We'll get it figured out. While you girls talk it over, I'll take care of this."

He walked over to the log and took off his heavy robe and shirt so as to free his arms and torso up, then started cutting the log into sections. It felt good to be doing some honest work for a change, after all of this rebellion business.

[Haspen]

"I've heard that being a priest at your own wedding brings bad luck and sickly children. You need to someone else to play the role." Renault crossed his arms.

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Why, are you offering? I've heard that ship captains can fill the role." Leo didn't pause chopping as he spoke. "Failing that, I suppose Julius or Grifen can do it. They are royal descendents."

[Haspen]

"Hmmmph. Will you follow your promise of fixing my leg if I do?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"I planned to do that anyway. I said I would, and I keep my word. If it's beyond the abilities of one priest, however, once we take over the empire I'll have more resources to look into it with. Hopefully it won't come to that."

[Haspen]

"Then go on with it, and I will both allow you and marry you to my daughter."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"All right. Let's see what I can do." Leo set the axe aside and picked up his staff, then took Renault's injured leg in his hands. He closed his eyes and concentrated on it, taking energy from the staff and pulsing it through the muscle and bone, searching for the injury in the currents of mana expended. "I think this is it... here." He focused on a spot, concentrating the healing energy into it.

Grifen couldn't help but squee.

: "This is so great! Uhh...flowers, right!" The nomad dashed off to search for something suitable.

Then Leo could feel some malevolent presence in the ankle. It wasn't simply mangled and broken; there was some kind of curse lingering on the bone and tendons, preventing them from ever heal up. He could do with a burst of energy to break the spell, but it will drain Leo's powers, possibly quite heavily.

Sure enough, small delicate mountain flowers were growing between rocks. There wasn't any variety though; all of them had small, blue petals.

"It's a powerful curse. But that's what saints are for." Leo gave Renault a brief smile before concentrating fully on the curse. He was going to brute-force this healing, like it or not.
