"Oh! Yeah, I didn't really think about that. Hmm... Maybe we could test, see if it does absorb healing magic? If it does, it may not be worth holding onto unprotected."

"Not sure, wasn't able to test it. Would be intriguing to attempt though. Also, sure! Not sure what would happen if someone who doesn't use magic touches it. You might not even feel anything at all." The historian held out the shard for Sheila to grab, holding it by the cord.

"As for testing magic on you while you hold it, I'd... Rather not. Couldn't anyhow."

[Sirus]

: "Well, I guess I could poke ya with a knife or somethin'. I've got a few for preparin' herbs and stuff..."

"It's okay Fezz, I know how you feel about hurting people. I won't ask you to do that." Sheila gingerly took hold of the shard, and took it cord and all. "...Hm. Well, I don't feel any different. Except... Maybe... No, pretty much the same." Sheila took the cord and tied the other end around the shard, fashioning a crude necklace.

"Okay Grifen, you do it! We don't even have to hurt me real bad, just big enough that we can see if there's a significant change to how fast you can close it up!"

[Sirus]

Grifen pulled a knife from her bag. It had a three-inch blade and a bone handle. She hesitated.

: "Regrettin' that I even suggested it. Sorry, Sheila." That said, the nomad took Sheila's arm and - as gently as possible! - stabbed it.

Sheila made a noise in her throat in lieu of screaming. "Ah! Yeah, okay, that worked. Heal it now please!"

[Sirus]

: "Sorrysorrysorry!" This was SUCH a stupid idea! Grifen quickly brought around her healing staff and attempted to heal the wound.

[Powder Miner]

Efa watched the spectacle with some level of amazement... silent now but not forever.

[Sirus]

Success! The wound quickly closed up.

: "Whew! That settles that, I reckon. Sorry again."

:"...you all are weird sometimes."

Sheila let out a breath she'd instinctively held as Grifen worked her magic. "Okay, feels good as new."

"Okay, did that feel about normal? Take as long as you expected, or more?"

[Sirus]

: "Welllll...I ain't been doin' this fer long, but yeah it seemed about right. I wasn't usin' the staff's full power or anythin', so that's not a worry."

"Good enough for me! We'll see how it does against bad guy magic next time we get in a scrap."

Ciera winced as Sheila was stabbed and then healed.

"I... I feel like that wasn't the best idea... But... you're ok now, right?"
