Since Miguel had taken over the situation, Leo closed his eyes and went back to meditating.

The raven didn't pay any attention to the legwork as it ate.

Miguel therefore was able to undo the strings and then roll open the tiny parchment. The writing was short and concise:

This was getting just a bit uncomfortable. Thankfully the portable kettle chose that moment to start whistling.

: ""Ah, perfect! C'mere you two, have a cup." The nomad poured into three crude wooden mugs and passed them around.

Now very much inside her own head, Sheila took the cup without saying anything and held it loosely in both hands.

Miguel smiled and chuckled wryly underneath his breath.

: "Oh F, you dirty girl."

Ah, notes like this brought back memories. He felt like a voyeur! But! This was not his note. J... Ah yes! Miguel took the tiny note and left the bird to his meal. Finding the spot where Prince Julius lay, he shook him a little and presented him the note with an overdramatic flourish.

: "Prince Julius my boy! I have a note from your ah... Lady friend."

: "Hohohoho."

Ciera desperately cast around for another subject and finally just blurted out,

"Uhm... uhm... Guys, do you think I could pull off blonde hair?"

Grifen nearly choked on her tea.

: "Huh?! Where did that...is that even somethin' ya can do?"

Sheila looked up, the question from far out enough in left field that it managed to distract the girl from her reverie. "What, you mean like get it changed magically? Uh, maybe? It's actually really hard to imagine you as a blonde now that I think about it..."

"Yeah, well, there are hair dyes and such. I think it's also technically possible with magic, but I don't really know about that one. And oh. Ok. Fair enough."

"Why? Do you not like your red hair?"

"No, no, I was just... wondering. I dunno. It sorta popped into my head. Or something."

"Well, I think you look good just the way you are." Sheila tentatively tried some of the tea that Grifen had brewed, and burned her tongue. "Ah, okay, still too hot!"

[Sirus]

: "What an amazin' thing. Never knew that folks would wanna change their hair color. Sorry about that Sheila, it just came offa the fire."

Grifen tried to imagine what she would look like with different hair. How...strange.

Speaking of blonde hair, a mussed head of the stuff popped up as Efa woke up and groaningly sat up, rubbing at her eyes and then grabbing a hairband and making up her ponytail.
:"Guuuh, mornings 're the worst..."
