The historian looked at the stone again curiously. "Some form of magic, but I can't quite pinpoint it. Ah, if I had my trunk I could look through some books to see if there was a reference to it... But oh well. It must be important to be inside the throne, but I'm curious as to why. To hide it, or perhaps to protect it? I'd have to examine it closer."

The bard took another second to catch up in his mind as the next mural collapsed to the ground

: "But sometimes old ideas, even the exceptionally old ones don't die. Above everything else, I wanted to do good in my twilight years. The gargoyles in particular presented an easy target, though I fear I might have bit off a tad more than I could chew with those fellows. If you and your band of heroes hadn't of come, verily, I would have been killed by them! But you're right. I had never intended to be apart of any rebellion. Far from it even."
