: "Hold on, sea-legs." Alec hops off Grifen's horse and onto 20,11, "Normally I'd be okay with needless corpse-mangling of undead, but we really need to at least try to figure out why she suddenly got resurrected. Or even if she has any information on her."

"What? Come on! This happened because what's her face kicked her down a hole before I had a chance to behead her." Sheila stopped for a moment, lowering her axe. "...I was planning to do this last time." She admitted, not making eye contact with anyone. "And besides, I kinda doubt there's any chance of her getting up and walking around again if I take off her head."

"Well... from what I know about magic... and vengeful ghosts... I can assume that she was alive after your strike and still alive after being tossed into the chasm, by sheer luck or her fortitude. And she perished down there, after waiting who knows how long, and once dead her spirit, bound by hatred, moved her body and she chased after us since thosae caves."

"That's all I can think of, yes."

"Well hopefully she suffered while she waited to die down there." Sheila said without remorse. "...And I still say she wouldn't have been able to come after us without her head."

: "Maybe not, but unless ya wanted to jump in after her there was no way ya were gonna do that last time...Why don't we just let preacher do his body-burnin' thing? That oughta keep her from coming back just as well as a missin' head, and maybe preacher will be able to put her spirit to rest as well. Last thing I wanna see is a headless Matilda comin' after us."

: "Can we at the very least search her before we do that? If there's a document or anything on her indicating what she's been doing since we split..."

: "Well, obviously preacher can't come over here now, he's busy. Go ahead and check, Alec. From the sound of it, you've got time." As the nomad prepared to ride away, she felt something thump in her bag. She pulled out a large tome.

: "Where did I get this again...? Here Alec, you can have it."
