"It... Appears to be a division of some sort?" Fezz responded after a moment of contemplation, staring at the mosaic with a studious eye. "A division with whatever this is driving the wedge between what I can assume is probably of House Forsaken. Some revered the eyes while others despised, or perhaps feared them."

The historian deliberately took off his right glove and flexed his hand outside of its leather cocoon for a moment before gingerly touching the mosaic. "Judging by its position, I would assume that the place of worship or defense from or for the nine eyes would be behind this door. Perhaps itself might be behind the door, locked away. Judging from the eyes... I believe they might have something to do with the locking mechanism. A certain order might cause the door to open. Or perhaps they conceal the true 'keyhole' for the door."

The scholar stared at the mosaic for a moment before flexing his hand once more. "I'd advise standing back. These type of things are typically trapped and I'm going to try to open it. Ah, I'd normally have tools for this kind of thing to check for sliding mechanism, holes, hidden runes and the like. But my trunk is still rather missing, so I'm going to have to go by feel."

Fezz felt around the edges of the eyes, seeing if he can detect any sort of separation between the rest of the mosaic. He then gingerly put a small bit of pressure on the bottom-most eye to see if there was any give.
