"Research by the Church? What could... Oh! " Julius turned to the others. " -do you think it might be...."

[Sirus]

: "You thinkin' it might be that dragonstone thing? From the sound of it they could cause all sorts of mischief with a thing like that!"

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Well, I guess I'll leave you to think it over then. I'll be over with the others." The former pirate returned and, upon spotting Ciera, sidled up close.

"So, what's going on Ciera?"

[Swordstar]

Ciera blushed as Sheila approached her and started asking about things. She knew that Sheila had seen her and Alec and so that was what she was asking about, but decided to play dumb for a bit.

"Uhm, well... We're discussing what to do next! Commander Fyra said that we should wait here for her to go get in contact with people, but then she also mentioned an old mansion that the Forsaken lived in and now Fezz wants to go check that out. Really I wouldn't mind a little bit of down time myself, but I understand why someone might want to go look at an old castle filled with treasure."

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Don't you play coy with me, missy." Sheila draped an arm over Ciera's shoulder, grinning hugely. "I saw you two holding hands. What's going on there? Did you say something to him, or did he approach you? I'm all ears. Incidentally, checking out the treasure castle sounds awesome."

[Swordstar]

"I... I told him. Apparently he's suspected for a bit but didn't want to say anything cause of... past stuff? But then he asked me what I wanted to do with my life and I told him and he said that... that it sounded like someone that he would love to fight for and that... that I should count him in and then we hugged and I got to hold his hand and yeah."

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Aww, that's so sweet! Good for you, I'm glad you told him."

[Swordstar]

"Yeah, I just... I'm really happy. I didn't think that he would... I just... yeah."

She sighed contentedly and then tilted her head and looked at Sheila.

"How about you? I saw you and Leo heading off to talk. Is everything ok?"

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Oh! Uh, yeah, everything's fine." Sheila said, not meeting Ciera's eyes. "I just needed to talk to him about being more careful. We wound up arguing about which of us was allowed to get hurt on the battlefield. Kinda stupid." Sheila sighed. "So, yeah. Everything is normal between us. Same old, same old. Steady as she goes..."

[Swordstar]

Ciera frowned slightly and poked Sheila's shoulder.

"It certainly doesn't *sound* like you're fine with it. What's the matter? Come on, you helped me so much, let me help you."

[Blade Master Model 42]

Sheila shook her head slightly. "No, it's stupid. I mean, it's gonna make me sound pushy and needy and... Ugh." Sheila ran a gloved hand up her face, then continued, quietly. "Look, I'm sure you know this, but as a priest, Leo has a bunch of rules he's gotta follow. And one of them is no... Well let's just say physical affection, until he's married." Sheila looked away again. "And, y'know, I kinda thought that when we both came out with the whole thing to each other that he'd, well, ask me to marry him. But it's been almost two months now. I mean, he broke one of his vows, because we kiss... But I don't know how far he wants to go, and I don't want to do anything he isn't ready for. I mean I do, but I want him to be ready first. I don't want anything the two of us do to be something he regrets."

"I just don't get why he hasn't asked me yet. It's not like we just met, and he has to know that I'd jump at the chance... Why is he holding back?"

[Swordstar]

"Well... Maybe he feels like it's not an appropriate time cause of the war? Or worries that he's not good enough for you? I mean, either of those reasons would be stupid but... It's clear he cares about you. Why don't you ask him? Err, ask him why that is. Though I guess you could ask him to marry you too."

[Blade Master Model 42]

Sheila was starting to get a bit pink in the cheeks at this point. "Well, he does worry about that, actually. I mean, I try to reassure him, but he's really hard on himself." She bit her lower lip, then continued. "And honestly, I really want him to ask me. I worry that I've kind of been pushing him to, sort of, kind of... compromise his vows. I'm trying really hard not to. And I feel like if I ask him to marry me, he might think it's just about sex."

[Swordstar]

Ciera wrapped her armos around Sheila, and hugged her tight.

"Hey now, come on. Give him and yourself more credit. You know that you love him and that you'd do anything for him, right? Well, he knows that too. He knows you love him. He'd have to be stupid to not know it. Maybe he's just waiting for the right time. Like with how Alec was waiting to make sure I knew what I wanted and wasn't just following him like a lost puppy or something. Well... not quite like that. But you get my point. He loves you. You know that. I'm sure he's just waiting for the right moment, alright?

Sheila was quick to return the hug. "I hope you're right. But I really wish he'd realize the right moment is whenever he asks."

"...We should find out how things are going between Grifen and Fezz."
