Alec let Ciera lay as she did for a good while, but when a slight rumble occurred and he could hear shouting from down the way, he lifted his head.
: "That's our cue. Come on, let's get back to the others."

Standing up as Alec did, Ciera shyly reached out to take the bard's hand, weaving her fingers in between his. Suddenly grinning, she looked up at him with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"So you know. When we were talking back there... You said something interesting. Something about how pegasi aren't the easiest animals to get close to. It may be just me, but it somehow seemed like you were talking out of personal experience. Is there a story I should know there?"

Alec tensed a little, realizing her ploy as he led them back towards the tomb entrance.
: "...Maybe. Maybe not."

"Aw, fair enough I suppose. Well, if you ever feel up to telling me that story, I could tell you the one of how I ended up in an arm sling for a month."

Fezz emerged from the tomb, pushing on the doors to open them as Sheila and Grifen pulled them open. Of course, the historian didn't know about the latter and when he solidly started to push, he didn't expect the doors to suddenly give way. And so, Fezz stumbled out of the tomb and tripped with a shout. Only a quickly timed levitation prevented his face from eating rock.

Brushing the dust of the tomb and floor off of himself as he rose, the man tried to recover what dignity he probably lost. "You will NOT belie--LEO!" The historian rushed forth and clasped his brother on the shoulder.

"I'm glad to see you're okay, when you vanished--andtheemperorsortofavoidedmyquestionastowhereyouwent--I was worried! How much did you tell them?"

"Everything I heard before he threw me out. They deserved to know, and it would have been rude to keep them in the dark."

Leo stepped forward and gave Fezz a hug.

"I was sure you could handle yourself, but it's good to see you all right regardless, brother."

Grifen dusted herself off (having been knocked over by the opening door) and hugged Fezz from behind.

: "Glad to see ya made it out in one piece."

: "So, what happened? Preacher told us about a ghost and how Julius is apparently some sort of royalty, but you were still down there for quite a while."

Julius walked out of the tomb gate, still holding onto the sword.

He realized that he had exited, and lifted his arm a bit to hold the sword in front of him.

"Uh. Hey everyone."

Fezz laughed as he was hugged from both sides, doing his best to return them.

When Julius came out of the tomb, he nodded to the man and stood beside him, looking to the others to the others. "Right, so... Where to begin? As my brother probably told you, inside the tomb the spirit of Emperor Lionheart still lives on. Shame there wasn't time to ask why, but he was on a time limit."

"Taking it from the top: the emperor told us that six times he was visited and each time nobody has actually informed him of what has been going on with his kingdom. Prince Julius and I filled him in as best we could, and he... Uhm... Didn't take it too well. We learned that Julius is a direct descendent of Emperor Lionheart, although from which of the twelve I cannot say. Emperor Lionheart tasked Prince Julius to fix what has been broken, and to put an end to the mockery that presents itself as his works. Which is apparently a lot of it."

"For instance, the empire was suppose to be polytheistic, the magic wasteland purged, the monsters eradicated, the last dragonstone destroyed, and he even mentioned an idea of a council ran government. Although he was advised against it, but still, that's an impressively progressive idea, albeit during the time probably wise to have a strong ruler than several weaker ones. ...If one were to look at it from the perspective of someone living before the succession wars, that is."

The historian coughed to get himself back on track and shook his head.

"I digress in my excitement. Emperor Lionheart gave his blessings to Prince Julius, and has tasked me to be his adviser and retainer. If Julius is to answer the call to action, I'll help him however way I can, I won't turn down a request from the Emperor. He gave us our key--the Crown Blade--and he showed us the path: we're to seek out the families of Forsaken and Lebrande. They've been pledged to the Emperor himself, not the empire, and will aid us. Where they might be now however... That's for us to discover."

Ciera and Alec arrived at the main group in time to hear Fezz's explanation. Ciera chose to remain quiet, being content to stand holding hands with Alec and listening.

Grifen did her best to take everything Fezz said in. She failed. She also didn't have the slightest idea what a "dragonstone" was, but that seemed rather unimportant compared to the things she did understand.

: "So...things ain't the way they were supposed to be, I take it? And who the heck are Forsaken and Lebrande? I ain't ever heard of them."

"Oh, uh, yes. Emperor Lionheart mentioned that with one of the dragon stones, the Fire Emblem, he managed to destroy all of the other dragon mages. It grants great resistances to magic when held but... Its still a dragon stone. With the right person, the right focus, it can burn the seas and split the land as the dragon mages did of old. It needs to be destroyed, and we were tasked as such by the emperor himself." Fezz said resolutely. "Whatever good it can cause... Its too dangerous in the wrong hands, and right now its either already in the wrong hands or waiting for someone to eventually find it. Its locked away, but Prince Julius and I know where it is."

"As for the Forsakens and Lebrandes... I don't know much really. Just that they were families the Emperor mentioned as being loyal to him but not the emperor. So I assume they would be in hiding, or in the farther lands where the reach of the empire is lessened." The historian shook his head. "I've not read much to anything about either, so I'm afraid I can only guess where to start looking."

"So... Tracking down those two families is our next move?I suppose you better get to guessing, Fezz." Sheila glanced back at Alec and Ciera. And, of course, immediately noticed the two were holding hands. She waited until Alec glanced elsewhere, then shot Ciera a thumbs up.
