"...I'm a saint of the Cult of the Dragon, but I'm not privy to its inner workings. However, we have been given reason to believe they're quite corrupt. Their tactics, at the very least. And I'm sorry, but your vision was unfulfilled. There are no religions other than the Cult - at least, none recognized by the Empire, and most tend to be ridiculed if not stamped out."

@Tombraiders:

"Haven't I silenced you? Never mind." The Emperor paced about the chamber for a brief moment, visibly angry but not saying a word.

"You still avoid the details behind my 'children devastating the continent', surely there were some written accounts? Did they just break the continent in half like the magi of old?"

Miguel viewed the situation with abject unease. He tried his best to remain calm.

Sheila made a non-commital noise as she continued to sit and stare at the door. Have confidence, have faith, have trust... It was like they were ignoring the fact that Leo had very nearly died once already today. She sighed, wondering what could be going on inside.

"I'm not as much of a scholar as my brother, but from what I understand, your children fell among themselves like rabid dogs shortly after your death. I believe only four survived, with Leon being the victor and taking the name Troy II."

Leo looked at Fezz as if seeking confirmation.

Efa sat there quietly herself, a hand on her stomach (which still hurt, dammit, even if Leo had healed it) as she stared at the tomb door and occasionally glanced at Fyra.

@Ghostbusters:

"Hmmph. All these years carefully teaching my children went to waste. I should've seen that coming. And I should've pushed for the idea of hundred men council, but no, that's bad for unity, they said." He scratched his left eyebrow and then paced about, trying to gather thoughts.

"Fire Emblem. How about Fire Emblem. Has the last Dragonstone been destroyed as dictated in my will?"

"...The last Dragonstone?"

Leo looked at Fezz again, confused.

"I've never heard of it. I was under the impression all of the Dragonstones were destroyed during the Mage Wars. But now that I think of it, didn't they have strange and unusual powers? Does the Fire Emblem have, say, the power to control other people's will? Because if so, then I have reason to believe it's in the hands of the church or the current emperor."

@Doomfinders:

"Well, an army of starving people is one thing but magical artifacts is other. You truly don't believe I destroyed the Magi and conquered the continent by sheer brute force?" A chuckle escaped his ghastly throat.

"As for its powers, the mages that fought on my side found out that it can, unsuprisingly, conjure storms of fire and set whole settlements ablaze, if its powers were properly focused. If carried by one person, it also grants godly strength and reflexes and guards against most magic. After I finished unifying the land, I had it stashed in the palace, and told the mages to later destroy it." The Emperor's ghost grimaced.

"I have to assume it's still intact."

Leo grimaced.

"Given the levels of corruption of those in power, I would agree with you. It takes willpower to destroy what sounds to be so useful a tool. I suppose that's now up to us to deal with..."

After a heavy sigh at the thought of dealing with someone - whether it be the Emperor, or perhaps Candy's father considering their run-ins with his brothers - who had that kind of power at his disposal, he returned his attention to Emperor Troy.

"We originally came here looking for the Crown Blade. We need it to depose the current regime and gain the army and materials necessary to stop the equally bad rebellion... and considering Julius is of your blood, I would stand by his bid for Emperor. He's a good man, if a little naive and idealistic."

Leo glanced at Julius as he said that. It was his actual opinion of the man, but he wasn't sure how he would take being called 'naive'.

@Wraithangerers:

"I had enough of you, mister Saint." The wraith waved his hand and Leo was no more amongst them.

@Leftovers:

Suddenly Leo fell onto Sheila and pinned her to the ground.

@Wraithangerers:

"I'm not even half done with my questions and he interrupts me. ME, the Emperor! He can wait outside and hopefully learn a lesson in patience and humility. Now, where was I?"

Fezz didn't really know what to think about hearing that there exists one more dragon stone. "That... Is troubling. I specialized in the events pertaining to the Magic Wars, I'm aware of what might be possible with the stone. I... Suppose on the topic of magic, you might be interested in knowing that your guards on magic have been relaxed with the years. Most afflictions remain illegal, as does dark magic. Magic is taught and used militarily once more, however."

At his brother's comment about the current situation, Fezz was about to continue off of it until Leopoldo vanished. The historian thought wisely against it, except for a question. "Er... Is my brother alright?"

Fezz continued on with the main topic that interests the probable ghost quickly, not wanting to waste anymore of the emperor's time. "Either way, yes, my brother spoke earlier of the Succession War, in which your twelve children fought each other for land and power until only four remained: Leon subduing the last of the three; Mireos, Sud, and Valkira. If you take that hack Duriss' word on it, it was a valiant affair in which each fought for their own ideal of glory and justice, the whole of it a clash of political intrigue, burning souls, and differing philosophies. Reality... Isn't so kind however. The war was still a war, and it was quite an unpleasant one."

There was an uncomfortable cough. "Now it has been whittled down to two after the Sud and Valkira family lines have been brought to an end due to their attempted rebellions. The only ones that live are Mireos and Leon, Mireos' line as a split vassal of two duchies and Leon's line as the emperor, who've taken to renaming themselves after you, so he would be known as Emperor Troy the Eighth."

@Spooksoothers:

Emperor carefully listened to the explanations of the historian, then rubbed his chin.

"I will guess it was Mireos who probably started it all? He was always a little demanding prick toward his other siblings. That, or maybe Valkira or Victor. These two weren't much better either. Ah, yes." He turned to Julius.

"Yes, you're my descendant, in a straight line even. One of my sons had a son that would one day have a son, and so forth, all the way to your father, and then you. That is all I can sense from your blood, boy." Then he was back to Fezz.

"Continue with the list of disasters, please. Nothing could top my children gutting each other for the throne. How about land disasters? Magi were known to curse the land with tsunamis and earthquakes. How about monsters, were they hunted into extinction? And that scary gloomy swampland in the south, has it been purged? It was the worst lair of monsters and wicked magickery I ever saw."

@Outsiders:

"Are you allright, priest? What is happening inside?"

Leo was currently in a compromising position and not exactly sure how to get off of Sheila, considering he fell with his face in her... chest region. After a moment, he got over his embarrassment and managed to get to his feet, not quite able to look at anyone.

"Er, yes, well. Perfectly fine. The Emperor doesn't take kindly to being asked questions, it seems. Right."

He cleared his throat.

"We ran into the ghost of the Emperor, who wanted to be told everything that had happened since his death. I tried to ask him a question in response to giving him answers and he... threw me out, I suppose. I think Fezz and Julius will be all right, however. Fezz knows enough about history to placate him and apparently Julius is a direct descendent."

: "Dangit preacher, why'd ya getcherself thrown out like that? Now Fezz and Julius are stuck in there with no back-up!" She looked angry, but there was more than a tinge of worry in her voice.
